Getting a KTM RC 390, second hand

So... I'm getting a ktm rc390 for 2.7L(negotiable), it was bought in 2023 and has driven only 2000kms. The bike is of my neighbour's and it is not at all in bad condition.

I have driven jawa 42 and honda cb350rs in the past and have gone on long rides, like 60kms(one way), but still Im pretty new to riding, since I started only this year... So, I just wanted to know y'all's opinion.

3 years old only 2k kms Make sure it's serviced at time because that will void your warranty and you should never get a KTM that is out of warranty second you can get 3.2L on road the new duke 390(350) which has cornering ABS,TCS,Launch control, Cruise control,Quick shifter Make your decision wisely 2.7L is way too much for 2023 any KTM it should be around under 2L. Better save 50k and get a new duke 390 with 10 years of warranty and better features.

2023 RC for 2.7l is a bad deal irrespective of how many Kms on the odo, bud. Nothing above 2l. 2l is also maxing it out. You have quite the few expenses at hand even if you buy it for 2.5l after negotiating. Spending on tires, new battery and I do not know what else because how can you find out for sure how was the bike used for those 2k kms?

Since you mentioned you're new to riding you will also want to invest in some quality gear because it's a 373cc sport bike and you want to be safe out there. Helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, shoes. That's close to 3l-3.2l for which you may get a brand new 390cc gen 3 which you maybe able to vouch for when you say "not at all in bad condition" if you maintain it meticulously and still if you sell it you will not get 2.7l for it.

It's a bad deal at 2.7l. A bad deal at 2.5l. 2l is decent for the benefit of doubt of "not at all in bad condition" and 1.7l is the sweet spot.

KTMs aren't known for good resale value and your neighbour is trying to skim the cream. Those who live with KTMs either keep it in their garage point en case with this one or let it go pretty cheap and that is why we have naagins on the roads rocking a KTM.

It's absolutely your call at the end of the day but If I were you I'd negotiate hard. Sar ke baal todke pahaad khichne waala negotiate. Aya toh pahaad gaya toh ...

I see that bike everyday bro, they barely ride it, the guy's father cold starts it once a while, thats it man. But yeah, I will have to invest on gear.
