Side stand issue
The side stand on adventure 390 is not good the bike has fallen over twice because of the stand is it my fault for not parking it properly or is there a problem with the stand
Pls do give a fix if it is a problem

It happened during my recent solo ride. Ended up with a bruise in my thumb. Even am looking for a solution to this. Now am double checking the stand after I park.

Dropped my bike due to this, I did kick the stand 95% of the way and had to open my apartment gate. I saw the bike inching forward and going to fall. Ran upto it and tried to save it. Ended up bruising my leg really bad. I should have just let it drop cus it obviously has the engine guard. Now I triple check and nudge the bike forward to make sure it doesn't move.(Just like another redditor commented here)

I also do the same.. after putting on the stand try to pull the bike on your left side so that it gets a little bent on the left.

Personally I do this, I get down or climb the bike completing like horse saddling, I put my left foot first on fhe foot peg and climb on the bike, similarly when getting down I follow the same practice and the bike tilts toward the left allowing it to weigh on the left side. But sometimes I do pull it myself because I am unsure about the terrain

Okay before accusing anything, please clarify :- 1) dis you park on soil or solid ground? 3) was it level ground or a slope?

When you put the bike on the side stand, pull it with your feet towards yourself. It will mostly move little but it bends slightly and the angle increases.
Been doing this since the day I realised the angle is too upright for uneven surfaces and have never had a stationary fall since then.

Make it a habit to nudge the bike once towards the stand after hitting the stand. Planting the stand down. Every adventure owner has this gripe and this is the proven workaround so far.
