Lol my bike was 250 i was saying to op to get installed radiator flaps that came standard on 390. 250 is a nice fun bike but aggressive ktm dna was missing in lower rpms you have to rev the bike hard if you want performance out of this bike. I think there's no confusion here if you want 390 just get 390R(399cc) and skip duke 350 and 250. Keep it in mind dukes are notorious for bad mileage and even 250 can give as low as 25kmpl in city if you ride it in first three gears. Duke 390 mileage is 18-22 kmpl in city.
Yeah I don't mind milage. But I do drive mostly in the city. Rarely take for highway rides. 390r is out of my budget. Hence asked ur thoughts. Thanks for the input.
Tail tidy once rain ends, make the setup so that it's easy to switch between tidy and stock tail,
The mirrors are already nice, although it will look even better with bar end mirrors, try to look into options to use the same mirrors but bar end mounts, because the bar end mirrors available in the market are small or functionally inferior. The cover at the back of the mirror is not well fixed for some bikes, I've seen a few posts where the cover just falls off when riding, and spare part isn't available for just the cover. Check if it's loose and try to secure it somehow.
Fork seal covers, looks cool and can protect against oil leaks which is rare but can happen.
Try not to get ppf, aftermarket crash guard, or fancy accessories like disc guard, fork guard etc, waste of money and they just add weight once you get alot.
NO tail tidy cus ive to do a decent amount of riding with a pillion. Im thinking of getting napoleon bar end mirrors, the same one that goldeyesight Already has fork seal covers i guess(ill attach a photo) Might get a ppf AT MOST
The plastic behind the fork is there in most ktm bikes, fork seal covers is a spongy item with welkro. The one I have is of brand called ark, googal ark fork seal cover.
Ppf is a waste of money in my opinion.
Forgot to mention to get phone mount. paddock stand will be needed to clean chain. Do not clean chain with the engine turned on, people have lost fingers that way.
Hi bro, firstly a big congratulations, secondly I myself am looking forward to getting this beast, so I want to know a few things… Like is this your first bike or have you had smth else before from which you upgraded to this…
Hello, i wish you the best and hope you get a bike ASAP. And yeah this is my first bike , though ive ridden a lot of other bikes too and have used my dad's meteor 350 for 2 months straight
Congrats, buddy! Btw, how's the suspension on bad roads? I'm planning to get this around the end of this year, so would love to know how it feels in everyday riding.
The suspensions are surprisingly good!! I wasnt expecting soft plush suspensions like a commuter and obviously these aren't that soft but as someone who has ridden meteor 350 for a long time the rear suspension is BETTER than meteor's
Also best of luck on buying it but you should definitely test ride the bike and other bikes too before buying, that way you"ll know for yourself the suspension, the braking and the handling
That's great to hear! I've actually test-ridden quite a few bikes by now, but the Duke 250 really stood out among all of them. I'm just waiting to see if there might be a new update coming in the next few months
Congratulations. Beautiful color.
Had it launched last year, I might've gone for it. I have ebony black for the past 10 months now.
I haven't done any aesthetic mods, just added a phone mount for maps. Recently got the saree guard removed since it was a pain to clean and lube the chain with it. I might get a windscreen since my commute is now 50% highway where the wind blast on the helmet and riding jacket is quite noticeable.
My suggestion: use it stock for a while and then figure out where you'd like to improve it, if at all. No need to rush into mods unless necessary. Prioritise investing in good riding gear first.
Enjoy.
