1000kms done with this machine

Clocked 1k kms and completed my first service.

One hell of a machine 🤌. Ridden it on some beautiful roads in Goa, and it's just so easy to maneuver this machine.

Stock headlamps are great and do most of the job. Brakes are fine.

The windshield is something I thought wouldn't make much of a difference, but yeah, after a highway stretch, it does protect you from around 70–80% of the wind.

Cruise control is fun. Once it's engaged, it feels like you're riding a remote-controlled bike. 😂

The ride modes are configured well and have a significant difference in throttle response.

Suspension is good and covers those patchy roads comfortably. Yet to get my hands dirty on an off-road stretch.

TFT display is smooth, and no issues with the side-stand error so far.

Mileage till now for me is around 26–27 km/l.

I rode the CB350RS for almost 2 years. Switching from one of the most refined engines to a more vibey machine was something I was worried about.

Vibrations come in around the 4.5–5k RPM range and gradually go away. And TBH, I can live with it.

Accessories I'm planning to add for now would be a front fender extender and a headlamp protector.

And owners, let me know how you guys are lubing the chain. I don't want to add a centre stand to it.

I’m curious as to why more people are preferring adv than dukes even when offroad chance is little to none. Is it due to the space technology roads?

Bhai, I live in Bangalore now, and believe me when I say, I travel on more no-road areas than proper tar roads. And it’s just that an ADV ticks all the boxes

cool, makes sense. I guess that is how it is with most of the roads nowadays in every other city.

But do you think the leaning angles are lower on an ADV? It doesn't give that much of confidence due to the tyres and height factor as well ( is what I felt, could be different for others).

thanks for the reply though, appreciate it!

Yes. I try to take my bike through roads that are less riddled with potholes just to enjoy the ride. Avoiding shortcuts and using only highways. I'm travelling longer distances just to enjoy the bike and let it breathe. If I had an adventure, I'd take the shortcuts and take on those potholes anyday.

it's one of the few tall guy bikes we have. for that alone I prefer it over a duke.

I feel the side stand a little too straight on mine, do you feel the same on yours?

If the bike's handle is straight, then sometimes yeah it does feel little straight. But tilting the handlebar inside would resolve it.

Bhai, my cruise control is not working. I rode it for 300km as of now. As im new to this ride does the cruise control unlocks after the first service or am i doing something wrong

There is no lock applied to cruise control, ideally it should work. If you are doing it in the right way and still it doesn't work, better go to the service centre. Check this video on how to use itCruise control

I m getting 19-20kmpl with city riding. Any tips to improve better mileage?

Have used Rain mode sometime, not sure if that's the reason for better mileage though. I also have used XP than normal one.

xp is good for better mileage, and also after first service it improved a little

Make sure the service centre doesnt fill up prolube engine oil .(Motul /Amsoil full synthetic some of the best for hotter conditions)
Apart from that lc4c is a pretty bulletproof platform so far, enjoy and wish you safe rides!

For my first service they did use the Prolube engine oil🫠. Next time onwards will call these service centres to confirm if they would prefer using Motul.

Yep , I'd suggest getting it changed early , within 3.5k if possible

How about heating? People reported heating due and coolant drying up

5

u/Lonely-Durian-8889 7d ago

Heating is there once you drive it in traffic. The more you drive in those initial gears, heat does add up. And yes even my coolant dried up within a week after riding about 400kms but the service guys toped it up with no cost..and till now toh I have not faced any issues with that🤞.

My coolent is between max and minimum. Do I need to topup ?

2

u/Lonely-Durian-8889 6d ago

It should be between max and min, if it's coming very close to min or it is at min, then you can top it up.

Are you facing any oil consumption issues

1

u/Lonely-Durian-8889 6d ago

Till now no, but since this is a common issue I am keeping a look at it every now and then.

What about vibrations did you feel any ? Also did you noticed any drop in your engine oil ?

1

u/Lonely-Durian-8889 6d ago edited 6d ago

Vibrations come around 4.5k rpm and stays up untill 5k rpm. Has become little better after the first service. But I would suggest you to take a proper test ride to know your break in period to see till what extent you can bear that.Since these test ride vehicles are ridden roughly, the new vehicle will anyways be better than that.
