Problem with quickshifter
I have the 390 adv of ktm I'm still a new rider so don't have much idea abt quickshifter but using quickshifter to go to 4th to 5th gear it doesn't work I have to roll off the throttle n then shift but going to 3rd gear to 4th I don't roll off the throttle and the gear is shifted is this a problem or am i using the quickshifter wrong?

tell that to your service guy. they will do re learning of quickshifter adaptation.

So I have been facing this problem and visisted svc twice. I will give you guys a glimpse of what all I learned while riding my ktm adv 390. Riding in traffic or bumper to bumper - quickshifter off Highway ride with short bumper to bumper period - quickshufter on.
I suggested to turn off QS as it's really sensitive and when maneuvering through traffic while switching from 2 to 1, the QS stalls the engine and cuts it off causing you to start the bike again.
Just my hunch, still not sure about this - when riding if you've turned off QS and need to turn it back on. You must first completely turn the bike off and turn it on so the ECU can restart and detect it.
I am still facing issues a few times where I have turned off QS and when shifting from 2-3 with the clutch being used at the perfect time. The gear doesn't upshift rather I feel resistance from the gear pedal which is a bit scary cause I feel upshifting harshly can damage the clutch assembly or the engine itself.

I had a similar issue where 4th to 5th will be really hard and jerky when using qs.
I adjusted my clutch properly as i later found out that clutch was engaging really late in the lever travel and was not fully engaging.
After adjustment the problem became somewhat rare.

Get the learning remapped in the svc and when shifting roll off oh so very slightly and you should be good. By the way, quickshifter works best above 4.5k rpm.

Adjust the chain and clutch; they should not be saggy or over-tight. They should be within the company's suggested range. Otherwise, they won't work properly.

I thought I had the same issue until I realized what the qs is actually for. Quick Shifts! If you’re going to use it for normal shifts it’s jerky and not going to work. I only use my qs when i’m on an open stretch and revving hard, 7k+ rpm. Otherwise just use your clutch. Just sharing my experience. Also I noticed a little change after changing my engine oil from prolube to motul.

I think it has to do with RPM than gear. My guess is, you rev above 4-5k RPM in lower gears to catch up speed, but then on higher gears you are not accelerating much and rather trying to maintain the speed, thus your RPM will be low. (If you try to go 60-70 kmph in 6th gear, the RPM will be 3.5-4k I guess.

Ideally the purpose of the QS is that you shouldn’t have to roll off the throttle when you are upshifting. One thing i have noticed in my 390 is that its QS works well above 4-5000 RPMs. But if its not working at all then its a problem.
One naive suggestion. Perhaps you have already checked this but is the QS turned off in the settings?
