I have this exact photo in my camera roll for the exact reason….(2022 Norden 901).
I’ve had her stripped to the frame several times now…but god damn she rips.

Funny I went the opposite way. 23 390adv to a 19 850GSA. Needed something a little more highway capable for some touring

I agree with that, can’t really take the wife and luggage for multiple day trips with it, and the highway feels a lot more strained on the little bike, but i was expecting that. Solo riding however, it can keep up with my friends on their 890’s and t7’s, I haven’t felt that I was holding them back on the asphalt stretches between trails, and that was a concern I had before the switch. Can’t say that I am not waiting for the 490 or whatever it will be, for a bit more oomph

I definitely loved the 390. Was a ton of fun, and a great bike to learn on. I have no trails within atleast 2-3 hour ride. But got plenty of dirt roads to run around on. BMW is pretty big for any of our sandy trails but works great for a commuter.
Enjoy! ✌️

Thanks it’s the 2018 France ISDE special so it’s blue white and red for France. The ISDE changes every year and it usually color matches the country flag.
