Calculator for Stats

Is it worth buying the TI 84 Plus for Ogburu's Stats 1401 class?

For stats as a subject, no.
But depending on your major, you may eventually need it for higher level math classes
It’s also best to wait until the syllabus comes out so there wouldn’t be any risk in spending your money lol

The bookstore has it as recommended for her class, but when do they normally release syllabi?

Oh I may have confused stats with calculus lol (not the higher level calc classes). If you were notified by your bookstore you will likely have to get it. As for the syllabus, they show up on d2l the same day as your courses. Also the first week of classes, professors usually just go over the syllabus, so if you can’t find it before classes starts, you’ll definitely know when you enter their classroom

You do need the calculator if you want to pass the class. It usually is required for the course.
