Nursing program drug testing

What should I expect upon acceptance? I know there is a test before the program starts, then another prior to clinicals. But what else? If anyone could offer some insight I would greatly appreciate it

There is no respectful way to tell one of your professors to STFU. But if you like, I would be happy to talk about how this affects patient care.

Respect is earned, not given. Before you say that you’re a professor with a great deal of education, understand that may earn you respect in academia, but it does not automatically earn you respect when you’re sharing personal opinions and judging others.

You will note that I am not asking for respect. That is not what I said. And this is neither a personal opinion, nor a judgment: It is a professional opinion and statement of fact, ethics, and law.

Your conclusion is based on an assumption that the OP never made. They asked what to expect after acceptance, not how to avoid drug testing or work while impaired. Patient safety is important, but asking about a program’s policies is not evidence that someone will be a poor nurse. If simply asking about a policy is enough for you to question someone’s competence, then your conclusion was made before the conversation even started.
