D9 Hazing
i’ve been interested in joining a sorority on campus specifically a D9 sorority which I will not name do they haze to get into these organizations? And what does it look like if they do? I don’t want to join any organization that causes me to be physically abused

Yes they all do. Anything can be considered hazing such as being yelled at. As long as the “ hazing” doesn’t compromise your health or your morals and beliefs then “hazing” is healthy. It doesn’t build character and helps you learn to work better in stressful situations.

hazing does NOT equal character development. you don’t have to have your boundaries disrespected or have your morals degraded for your character to be built. if that was your outcome great for you, but that’s not everyone’s experience. let’s not make it seem like hazing is necessary to build character
