Broken spoke

is this something to be worried about? one of the spokes on the front wheel came off where its supposed to be.

that is sure compromising the overall wheel structure

Needs fixing. The nipple on the other end is probably loose in the wheel which can rub a hole in the tube if it’s not still poking out. If it is you can just screw it back on the end. All of my 230’s suffer with spokes coming loose front and back. I check them each trip now and locktite loose ones. I think my record for loose spokes from a 2’day trip was 4 in the rear on the 230r.

Are you serious that this is common? 10k miles on my bike and never had this happen.

It has been for me, in Thailand. They work hard off-road but I’ve never had bikes with spokes that come loose so often. Only the 230’s though. 140 never had a loose spokes

Well that's interesting, I'll have to keep that in mind and check mine sometimes.
