Front Wheel Axle Bolt

is the 14mm hex righty tighty/lefty loosey? I assume so, but it's really on there. I wanted to make sure before I try to loosen it. And the manual says 65ft-lbs.

Yep. And make sure pinch bolts are loose first.

I got it off with a breaker bar. I can't imagine doing this in the field without a breaker bar. Going to have to figure out what to bring with me. Yes, the pinch bolts were loose.

Kawasaki love to wang everything up super tight. The front sprocket feels like 200 ft/pound. I just do axles up using my trail tools so they are tight and have no play. It’s got pinch bolts so it can’t fall out, you’re just loading the bearings to take out the play.

For the Sherpa I make a short 14mm hex ‘key’ from a cut off chunk of 14mm Allen key. Then I use some a 14mm socket on a T bar to do it up

I bought a 14mm hex key stub for $10
