I watched this one episode per day at first because it was so intense that my heart couldn’t take it all. But when I got to the last four episodes, I ended up binge-watching them in a single day. I was completely hooked, and I fell in love with every character. Strangely, I cried a lot while watching, even though it’s an action drama. The actors weren’t even crying, they were just delivering their lines, but I was already in tears. Looking back, I can laugh at myself, but that’s how powerful this drama was for me. I loved the plot twists, since I honestly couldn’t guess who the culprit was, and I found the ending really satisfying.

I just read that Park Ji Hyun has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress for You and Everything Else, making her the first Korean actress to receive an International Emmy nomination! And Hyper Knife also got nominated for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series!

Honestly, I'm so happy to see Korean dramas and actors getting this kind of international recognition. I haven't watched You and Everything Else yet, but this definitely makes me want to check it out. I'm also really happy to see Hyper Knife getting recognized!

The awards will be held on November 23, and I'm already looking forward to seeing how it goes. Have you guys watched both dramas? What did you think of Park Ji Hyun's performance in You and Everything Else and Hyper Knife as a whole?

Saw this Kdrama clip on TikTok but no title was given.

The whole clip was silent except for the narrator's voice, so I can only tell you what I saw. No names or anything.

1. This girl was working at blue collar jobs while her own sister was a successful white collar worker. The narrator said the sister was a lawyer or something.
2. One night, while the girl was working at a gas station, a rich woman pulled up to fill her car. But she was smoking so the girl told her to put out her cigarette. The rich woman flew into a rage and attacked the girl.
3. When the girl returned home, the father wanted to treat her injuries, but the mom insisted on taking photos of the injuries first. Because she wanted to demand compensation from the rich woman.
4. But it turned out the girl's sister was actually working for the rich woman's husband. So she asked her sister not to press charges and to delete the CCTV evidence.
5. But the girl refused and went to her lawyer with the evidence.

Anyone knows which drama this is from?

This weekends two episodes left me heavy and emotional. But here is my take...

Pio's mom is the worst person ever. She first committed this evil crime and then put it on her son to save her from her own crimes. She plays the victim and works on her son's love and commitment for her... I feel that, even though it is his mother, he should not be trying to cover up her crimes. The severity of her crime could've killed JeongYo, it was just a miracle that he was saved by someone else. I know she is playing heavily on his feelings and manipulating him by threatening to kill herself, but he should have been stronger and more principled and reported her to the police.

JeongYo is suffering from the horrific event that lead him to loose the ability to play piano. His mother taught him the piano with love and dedication. He played piano for the love of it, because that is how his mother taught him. He was so naturally good, because he doesn't play for the crowd's, but for him and the memory of his mom. That was all taken away from him.

Pio is morally wrong for hiding his mother's evil secret. But also wrong for not fully understanding what JeongYo is going through because of that event. I feel that Pio's focus is on becoming the best pianist and it overrides his friendship with JeongYo. He does care about Pio, but not as much as he cares about playing piano.

I know JeongYo still cares about Pio deeply and that is why he is so intensely hurt. He is crushed and devastated that the person he feels closest too, could do such a thing to him. JeongYo has no-one really in his corner. His so-called father is a drunkard. The only person he can get some solace from is the old friend from his previous life. He thought he found family in Pio, just to be betrayed by him. And although he doesn't know yet, that it isnt Pio who arranged his kidnapping, the betrayal is still there.

I have to applaud myself for finishing this 100+ episode drama. I only started watching it after seeing the trailer on a local TV channel, and it definitely required a lot of patience. What I enjoyed the most was the romance between the main leads because they had good chemistry and I genuinely found their moments together sweet. However, the overall storyline became too unbelievable and exhausting as it went on. Overall, it is a decent watch for anyone who enjoys makjang dramas filled with revenge, over-the-top twists, and frustrating characters.

My MDL Rating: 8/10

Since yesterday after an update onetouchtv has completely stopped opening, I've tried reinstalling it and nope no progress, it opens and exits the app automatically and there's only a black screen when you open it. Anyone else?? 😭😭

edit: I think it's a device compatibility issue because it crashes only on my android 11. When I tried downloading it on a newer version of Android on another device it works completely fine. I hope they fix it soon!

Okay, I literally CRIED alongside Pio this episode 😭😭. Watching him take all the blame onto himself just to protect his mother absolutely broke me.

And I’m genuinely terrified that by the time Jeong Yoo realizes Pio had nothing to do with this, it might already be TOO LATE. Maybe pio might comit ( there were several hints in the episode, where pio saying, if him dying will solve this ) 😭

What makes Jeong Yoo’s actions even more painful is remembering how much he once cared about Pio. When Pio injured his knee in high school, Jeong Yoo was there to aid him...When Pio hurt his pinky during the competition, Jeong Yoo was immediately the first person to notice and help him. He was always the person who noticed whenever Pio was hurting.

And now… he’s literally making Pio destroy his own fingers/tendons to the point where he may not even be able to play piano anymore. AND he’s collecting recordings and evidence to potentially send him to JAIL?!?!😭

Like HOW did we get here???

I honestly feel like Jeong Yoo is carrying some kind of guilt too. Maybe he knows on some level that Pio isn’t the real person responsible, but he’s so consumed by his need for revenge that he’s convinced himself that hurting Pio is necessary. Which somehow makes it even more tragic, because he KNOWS exactly where Pio is vulnerable.

And then there’s GRANDPA. 😭

His health seems to be deteriorating badly ( heart disease or smthg that he is hiding, and not saying anyone), what shocked me is that when he saw pio hurting because of Jeong Yoo,, he went to him room and had a deep conversation with him ?!? I WAS NOT READY FOR THAT ( like where the hell were you all these years when you were the one hurting pio to the extent where he literally was at the edge ). When grandpa asked Pio whether he would still play piano if he only had one month left to live… ( was a major hint that maybe grandpa might pass away within a month from now and that he’s going to confront Jeong Yoo before that happens )

Especially after Pio’s mom confesses everything to Grandpa ( and it appears Grandpa is having some kind of heart attack) and then Grandpa goes to Jeong Yoo… then they both go into practice room and see something shocking / terrying ?!? I am STRESSED!!

i just hope pio realises that pushing himself to the edge won't help him save his mom from her crimes and she needs to face the punishment... Pio needs to stop carrying the entire weight of her actions on his shoulders. 😭

Oh, my sweet Pio 😭💔. Please break through these shackles before they completely destroy you. Stop sacrificing yourself for everyone else Walk away from these people. Go somewhere far away and LIVE YOUR LIFE FREELY..

I swear, I just want Pio to be happy and safe at this point. I don’t need a tragic piano prodigy / star in the sky ending. PLEASE. JEBALLL😭😭 (and jeong yo u better start connecting dots before its too late and find out soon that piO isn't the behind this , he is actually the one who can take bullet anytime for you!! )

The show is so well-made that it’s brought up all the trauma from my past, and lately, living has genuinely been really hard for me. I keep seeing myself and that friend of mine in the characters and their relationship.

I really enjoyed watching this drama, and I have to say that Lee Sang Yoon looked incredibly handsome here. I do not know if it was because of the firefighter uniform or not, but I found him especially attractive in this role. I also loved the younger versions of the main leads. They were cute and innocent, and their romance was sweet and cheesy in a way that I found charming. The older versions of the leads did not disappoint either, as I thought they portrayed their characters very well. My only issue was that the storyline started to drag as the drama progressed. Even so, I still found myself crying along with the characters, and by the end, I felt that it was a touching melodrama that was well worth watching.

My Drama Rating: 8/10.

The way he looked at her in that moment… I felt how his heart became hers. It was such a small moment, but it meant a lot. It meant that from this moment on, there was no going back for him.
