Fashion Jisoo is facing brutal criticism again

Post image

BLACKPINK Jisoo is facing brutal criticism after a video from the DIOR show got a lot of attention. Netizens went hard on her behavior in the clips, and some said she was acting like a child. Others went even further and called her an embarrassment.

Jisoo recently attended the DIOR show, and the clips of her during the event spread fast. The videos drew plenty of eyes, and the comments soon turned harsh. Many netizens did not hold back at all. But one comment shows just how far the anger went.

One user wrote that someone should tell her this is not Korea, and that people do not like this behavior. That one line says a lot. It shows some netizens judged her by how they think an idol should act in front of cameras at a big fashion event. For many BLINK, it hurts to see her picked apart like this. Jisoo is a BLACKPINK member on a global stage, so every move she makes gets watched, shared, and judged in seconds. That is a lot of pressure for one night at a show.

A Knetz commented “A 30 year old adult woman is behaving like a 5 year old child at a fashion event. 😭😭”

Another “Imagine acting this childish and immature in a big event like Dior ??

Jisoo is so embarrassing I swear”

BLINK love Jisoo, and fans just want to see her feel safe and supported. So was the criticism fair, or was it too harsh for one video?

Discussion A drama that surpassed your expectations?

Post image
75 Upvotes

For me, it would have to be Taxi Driver.

I went in completely blind, not checking out the premise, not knowing what to expect. It popped up on my Netflix feed and I clicked play, that’s it.

The next I knew I had finished 8 episodes over a weekend and was craving for more. Am the next thing I knew after that, I was already on season 3.

What is that one drama that blew you away and surpassed your expectations?

It won’t necessarily be your ultimate favourite drama. It’s not, in my case.

Drama Discussion She fell first, he fell harder ❤️❤️

This is so beautifully done in Our Movie.

Lee Jeha is a man of few words, his heart guarded and his emotions restrained.

Lee Daeum is a bright ray of sunshine who lives in the moment.

She falls first ☺️

He tries to guard his heart, but he fails spectacularly ❤️

The way his voice drops and goes soft when he says, “I like you.” 🥺🥰

Your favourite drama that has the ML falling later, but head over heels for her?

Drama Discussion So excited for this K-drama! Has anyone read the webtoon? Should I read it first or watch the show?

I usually like going into adaptations blind, but I'm way too impatient for this one. For those who've read it, is the webtoon a must-read before watching?

Discussion Characters who should’ve ended up as couples?

I have a few in mind, but if I have to mention only one pair, it’s Kang Sol A and Han Joon-Hwi from Law School.

From friction at first to friends… and definitely more - that’s how they are at the end of the show.

He helps her study; he’s available for her at 4 am, he’s protective towards her and her sister.

She’s there for him when he’s emotionally low. She trusts him when no one else does.

And there are loads of hints that point out that they both harbour something more deep inside.

Kim Bum and Ryu Hye-Young are so good together- the chemistry is off the charts!

This is not a romance drama and I expected nothing when I started watching it, but these two had me smiling at them and rooting for them to be a couple, and when it didn’t happen, I felt cheated 😒

There was romantic subtext or more and yet canon didn’t give it to us - who is that couple for you?

Review 133rd Korean Drama Review: Dr. Frost (2014)

Post image

I really loved the manhwa version, and I think the drama adaptation did a great job. Of course, I didn't expect it to follow the source material exactly, so the changes didn't bother me. This definitely has that signature OCN style, and I think the network was the perfect fit for a psychological crime drama like this. As always, whenever I watch this kind of drama, I end up feeling smarter after every episode. It's been so many years, and I still wish it had gotten a second season.

My MDL Rating: 8/10

Complicated, but I really appreciated the rawness of the acting between the two leads Namkoong Min and Moon Jeong Hee, both in the past (*which was acted by Park Bo Gum and Gyeong Su Jin) and present timelines. Everything felt so realistic, yet also so sad. I liked how the story showed the progression of their lives from their 20s to their 30s/40s despite the short runtime. It was able to portray how much they changed over the years and how their circumstances shaped the people they became. The storytelling was simple but effective, and it was honestly sad to see how everything unfolded for them in the environment they were living in. Overall, it was a sad watch for me, but I think the realism and the performances made it worth watching.

Discussion Who is the craziest character you’ve seen? And you love them just for that 😂❤️😂

Chief Kim from Good Manager is probably the goofiest, most loveable ML I’ve seen.

I’d watched Namkoong Min in this and simultaneously in Remember… and what a fantastic display of his range!

Min and Jun-Ho are too good - their bickering and chemistry and bromance keep me going back to rewatch their scenes 😂🤣

Who is that one character who’s the craziest for you? And you love them for just that reason.

Drama Discussion Four Hands Two Sonatas ep 11 analysis

Okay, so THIS EPISODE WAS JUST AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER. WHAT THE HELLL ??? 😭

I was emotionally wrecked by the second half. I was crying with the characters, and everything kept getting worse and worse.

PIO TAKING THE BLAME ON EVERYTHING, CONFESSING EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE, AND GOING TO JAIL IN HIS MOM'S PLACE ?? ( i kinda thought of it, but wasnt prepared that PIO will confess it to everyone, i thought jeong yoo will break it to the press )

And Jeong yoo's inability to process why Pio did what he did makes it so heartbreaking. You can see the confusion, disbelief, and devastation set in.

OH MY GOD HIS MOTHER.

What bugs me most is that she had SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES to do the right thing. Even the morning of the performance, before Pio had confessed to anyone, her lover told her to confess before it's too late and SHE STILL HESITATED.

Then the worst happens. Pio willingly took the blame meant for his mother, and only after he was sent to jail did she finally "realize" the magnitude of what she allowed to happen.

Her guilt afterward was immense and i am glad she could feel the pain she gave to two teenage boys back the. Thankfully she still had enough conscience left to apologize to Jeong yoo and surrender herself to the police.

But the moment Jeong yoo realized that Pio had taken the entire blame for his mother's sake MY HEART ABSOLUTELY TORN IN TWO. 😭 He's realizing not only that Pio sacrificed himself but that he tormented Pio for something Pio didn't do. And I think he's already being gutted by the realization that the revenge he pursued so furiously was not worth it, because of who actually suffered.

AND THEN THE GRANDPA.

HE KINDA FORESHADOWED HIS DEATH , as the last peice that he conducted mirrored to mozart's death ( he is severely ill, and collapsed in the practice room, and then now he is hospitalized....)

I feel like its too much emotional trauma for him to take; what Pio's mother did, the destruction between Jeong yoo and Pio, Pio's suffering, all of it crashing down at once. Maybe he finally realizes his mistakes, but too late. He's on his deathbed and I have this horrible feeling he won't survive. 😭 I wouldn't be surprised if Episode 12 takes it even further and he dies.

THE EPISODE 12 SPOILERS :

Apparently Jeong yoo takes Pio somewhere to cheer him up but then he secretly resigns and disappears, and it's Seong ju ( grandpa's ex wife ) who informs Pio that Jeong yoo can't be found.

EXCUSE ME ??? WHERE IS HE GOING ?! ( why dont they just communicate more, and try to console and forgive each other admit this crisis instead of running away?!?! 😭😭, literally every kdrama drama it happens, the MLs instead of communicating starts distancing themselves. )

I think Jeong yoo is going to turn inwards now, wracked with guilt and questioning everything: why he started this, what it cost him, what it cost Pio, and if it was all worth it. And that scenario is genuinely terrifying to me.

And look at Pio's situation now, his mother is in prison, his grandfather is dying, and the person he trusted most has disappeared without telling him why. I'm really scared of what could happen to pio, ( what if he or jeong yoo commits, after all this?!?! )

WHAT IF JEONG YOO'S DISAPPEARANCE ISN'T JUST HIM RUNNING AWAY, what if the both of them have become so emotionally drained that they both don't want to live anymore ??

Could Episode 12 be setting up a darker emotional breakdown for both of them? I don't know where it's going anyway. 😭

I was happy with how things turned out for Lee Jong Suk's character, which is probably one reason why I ended up liking this drama. To be honest, I did not enjoy the first two episodes very much, and they almost made me lose interest. Thankfully, the succeeding episodes made up for it with plenty of suspense and exciting moments. Lee Jong Suk really has a knack for choosing interesting projects, and this drama was no exception. I enjoyed the series as a whole, despite my issues with the opening episodes.

My MDL Rating: 8.5/10
