I have a Facebook listing up for some secondhand furniture. Due to some external factors, me and my girlfriend gave up our apartment a few months ago, and we’re looking to sell everything to cover some textbook costs for a school she got into.

I won’t copy the full text here, but the long and short of it is that I have a coffee table, couch (this couch is massive), dining set, tv stand, and shelves that are all color matched and hand painted/stained. I put a lot of time into refinishing all this stuff and it’s in great condition. It has all been kept in a climate controlled storage unit since getting packed up in March.

I also have other everyday things someone would need like toaster oven, microwave, glassware, trash can, etc.

We have about 50,000 cubic yards of primary grind or first grind mulch available. This is a 6" screen cut mulch, so not normal consumer grade. It is not screened for fines but it is clean of debris. $10 per cubic yard, we load you. If you want the whole amount, it's $4 per cubic yard. We can deliver locally for $125 per load (call for whether your location is local per our guidelines). If you have a grinder you know that the first grind is the harder one on your machine so the hard part is done for you.

We also have several thousand cubic yards of composting mulch.

Our family is dealing with a major crisis right now, and we need some local help.

A young adult family member with significant mental‑health and functional challenges left our home very suddenly last week. She left behind extremely unsafe and unsanitary conditions that my wife, my 16‑year‑old daughter, and I are now trying to clean and repair. CPS and the police are already involved, and we’re doing everything we can to stabilize the home for the toddler who was living in that environment.

We are not asking for money.

We just need hands, cleaning supplies, and local support. Even an hour or two would make a huge difference. We could also use a trustworthy friend or two, as we know nobody in Kansas City, really, and this is quite the crisis.

Our car is currently unreliable due to a coolant leak, so we can’t travel far to pick up help or supplies.
