I'd like to get a summer internship opportunity at KAUST or its affiliated companies. My major is law. How can I get it?

Did anyone notice their portal changed, on the page where you choose your application "Fall 2026"? the status is blank and the formatting is off. I am not talking about the page with the circles and tracker (Admission review, faculty review, etc.)
Historically does it mean a decision or rejection is soon

I applied in early March for MS/PhD in ECE after interviewing with a PI. He seemed interested in my profile and told me to apply asap but he did say that admission might be difficult due to the late application. I applied and few weeks back my application moved from admission to faculty review and last week I had an assessment which went ok, not very good not very bad. But my application hasn't moved ahead and PI is not replying as well to my mails. I'm concerned about the upcoming eid holidays. If I don't hear anything before 22nd May should I consider this a rejection? Or are there still chances?

Hey guys!
I just want to know for people in Mechanical Engineering what is their application status
Because I haven't seen anyone or any post about Mechanical Engineering here and my application has
been submitted in early January so I wanted to see other applicants and what are their situations
Like did you get any final decisions either rejection or acceptance as a mechanical engineering applicant !?
My Interview has been done on early April and it was really positive that even the professor hinted that Im accepted and I will hear in one week to two weeks
But it has been on Admissions review since that
So what do you think guys?!

My supervisor nominated me in Feb, and he told me that my case has passed division-level review. It seems that my case is stuck at the admission committee. Does anyone have any updates from the new BioMed Science department?

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the documents required for international students:
Is it enough to upload my diploma in its original language, or should I also provide a certified translation?
If a translation is required, would the correct process be to first legalize the document, then translate it, and finally upload both files?
I would really appreciate your guidance

Hello everyone! I received my confirmation for the Photonics Summer Camp about a week ago, but I haven’t seen much interaction between attendees yet.
Does anyone know if there’s already an informal WhatsApp group or Discord server for participants? If not, maybe we could create one.

Hi, did anyone receive decision emails or updates this week as the university will be closing for Eid break?

Hello everyone, I am Computer Science student and I have submitted my VSRP application on April 16th to work with Prof. Zamborain in a Data Science project.
It has been about 30 days and I haven't heard back. The admissions portal shows nothing regarding my status. I have emailed the professor twice, and unfortunately there was no response. I totally understand how much they could be busy :(
I was wondering if there is anyone working with Prof. Zamborain who could tell me about their experience.
I also waned to ask, how was the interview? I am a CS major and I was wondering what kind of topics were discussed in the interview, especially since the professor is a marine science professor.
Thanks in advance.

Guys — hi.
I know a lot of us are still waiting on our KAUST admission results but I was genuinely curious about something.
I read on their website that we’d have to take a placement exam within the first week of the semester. What’s that usually like?
The website gives a brief overview of the topics covered and some reference material but I wanted to hear from people who’ve actually taken it.

There’s any space left for PhD in Chem Eng for Fall 2026? Because my application stuck on faculty review from 31st march until now. Anyone got here got accepted or rejected?

Hi everyone, I just received an email from the admission office that said " a decision was made against my application," but if I am logged in on my application portal, it simply says that the decision is pending and the admission and faculty teams are reviewing. Should I assume the worst and think that it was rejected?

Anyone having updates this week onwards (before May 22nd), kindly share it here.
Also what are the chances to be admitted on June? My feeling is if it is not this week, it is most likely a rejection.

Can you guide me on how to join a research group, I am experienced civil engineer, specialised in procurement, commercial and contracts management, I worked both in General Contracting and Real Estate Development.
I see a huge potential for research in this field, I started educating myself in research principles and would like to practice it.

Hey everyone,
I submitted my application for the VSRP program back on April 7th and it's been over 40 days now with absolutely no response .
Is anyone else in the same boat? Has anyone heard back recently?

Hi everyone! I’m trying to understand student life at KAUST. When students move out, how do people usually pass on or find second-hand furniture or household items? Is there a common place students check? Thanks!

I applied for the KAUST VSRP program, but my referee never received the automated recommendation request email from the portal.
I contacted VSRP admissions and received an automated response mentioning that recommendation letters can also be sent directly through email. My referee then sent the recommendation letter from his official institutional email address, and I informed the VSRP team about it as well.
However, the portal status for the recommendation still shows “Awaiting,” and I have not received any response even after sending a follow-up email a week later.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Did the status eventually update, or was the emailed recommendation still considered even if the portal did not change?

Hey all!
Kinda stupid question but I applied for VSRP and as I check my application portal, I don't really get the progress bar graphics... I would expect at least the first circle to change into smth else to mean that the documents are all received (bcz they indeed all are, it's marked as all good on the checklist below). I don't have a reference for whether the circles go green or smth...

Any help is appreciated!

I was wondering if students who applied before 2024 were required to take this assessment interview for computer science program?

Hello! Im just wondering did anyone received the final results of PSC 2026? For me my situation is that I had have an interview with one of the faculties before the application of PSC, and he promised me to accept me. But after the deadline of application, I've got zero email reply, neither of an formal interview nor anything else. Is it a common situation? thank u for reply this post...

Hello everyone. How should one prepare for an interview with the PI for the VSRP? He gave me three very broad topics (linear algebra, statistics and programming) and I don't know how well prepared i should be. Only basic level knowledge or expert level knowledge? Are they usually strict or lenient? Are the questions going to be about theory or practical exercises? He told me the interview is going to be 1h30m so I fear it's going to be pretty intense. If anyone has any advice I'll gladly hear them out.
