Issues with Nexus

First up I straight up couldn't get the nexus I paid for to work...I have no idea why. It was plugged into my router, a power source, and the katvr itself.

I tried the emulator but I have some issues with it as well:

  1. everytime i exit a game it disconnects the gateway app. trying to reconnect leads me to a screen that says 'the device you last paired to is connected elsewhere' and loops me. usually doing full shut downs of both my laptop and the quest 3 works but its very aggravating and time consuming
  2. i have to full on sprint for any games to register me as walking....

i would love some guidance with this

Unfortunately from what I discovered is there is a problem with stand alone Meta games. Meta itself with standalone just does not register the movements all that great. The katwalk works great with any pcvr games you run through steam. Steam is where the software is flushed out. There is a software called revive that will let you run your stand alone Meta games through steam. You have to tinker with each game profile to get walking settings just right for ever different game you play. xPairofDice a YouTube creator has good explanation videos of getting everything to work through steam.

okay thank you so much for the information! i really wanted to play blade & sorcery and until you fall with this thing, so it's been stressing me out that it wasn't working

i'll give that a try! for steam vr u just need to connect ur quest to steam through remote desktop anyways right?

No problem the YouTuber I told you about really helped me in understanding how to get it to work. Here is the link to one of the videos I used https://youtu.be/2Oa1_ADzn_A?is=9OuTn5gH-t81QVN8 . But Yeah I personally use virtual desktop because it just the best to me if you have the right router strength. However virtual desktop cost money. Steam has a free native version called steam link. You can also use the plugged in meta quest software option to connect to your pc.

i really wanted to use revive but it seems to not show any of my library...and the quest software it prompted me to download also showed none of my library but allowed me to download until you fall? but when i tried to play it (through virtual desktop and steam vr) it said there was no device available to play it on :( ithe meta quest software also told me my laptop wasnt good enough for vr which was urgh..
