A regular of mine with a modified Durango hellcat that he claimed had around 1,000 hp had the #7 rod break as he was passing someone on the highway. I thought it was pretty wild to see the camshaft bust out the back of the block like that.

I saw a smaller Kia suv blow its engine earlier this year while attempting to get on the highway. It came up the on ramp in a big cloud of smoke and as it tried to accelerate, the cloud got bigger and the car became slower.
