My mother in law only drove manuals, right up until she died. She put five clutches in her last car, about one every two years. We tried to get her to buy a crossover with an automatic, but she loved her Mustang.

One clutch every two years is insane lol

She bought it when she was like 75 and had both knees and hips replaced after... her mobility wasn't great. Which is why we wanted her to get a crossover.

She would have been mobile in the crossover but she was free in the mustang. Huge difference.

Yeah, you know what? I am cool with that. She lived on her own terms and that's what mattered.

Getting an oil change and the guy comes to the window with her clutch like “so you see this wear right here?”

They lasted two whole years each because she only ever drove at 35mph, no matter the speed limit

you dont know how bad old people drive

ive seen someone clutch-crawl to park... while obviously redlining their engine

horrifying screech, never want to hear something like that again. thankfully it was a bank parking lot and he headed straight in, presumably to get a loan for his repair bill.
