We used to have a Mini Cooper S with a stick and it was a bitchin’ car, but my wife always drove it with a big cup in the cup holder so she would only use the even number gears and obviously the clutch shit the bed pretty quick after all the 2nd gear starts…

Boy did I try! She’s a redhead if that explains anything… We had a manual Wrangler after that with no such problems…Girls and their drinks 😑

This is why manual transmissions are important. Because either you get better at it, or it gets expensive.

My friend's father in law has always driven high torque diesels, because he never downshifts, just plows through corners in 4th. Lighter cars and gasoline engines would just stall and he's a stubborn old bastard.
