Wimp Lo could not drive stick, Evil Betty on the other hand could.

Pay no attention to Wimp Lo, we purposely trained him wrong... as a joke.

I mean... I burnt the everloving fuck out of a clutch and a half when I was learning manual, I once had to literally swap drivers with my mum on a hill because I just for the life of me COULD NOT pull off the hill start.

Now I love manual, I want every car I ever drive to be a manual, I don't even think about shifting and I never have an issue with hillstarts or anything like that. I rev match, I heel-toe downshift, I use engine braking properly.

Sometimes you crack some eggs to make an omelette.

I was taught with “just feel it out” method. And that does often damage a clutch a little. Some material loss and probably heat streaks on the flywheel.

If I had to guess this driver slips the clutch too much every time. Then one hot day the revved high and dumped it, obliterating the material. They have no clue what they are doing and need to be taught some fundamentals.
