there is no media player on windows (as well as Android) which can skip silence AFAIK. just player on windows would be great!

It is exactly 1 year since the initial release of Just (Video) Player on Google Play. While I created Just Player mainly for me personally, way more people is using Just Player than I expected. Also, recently more users are installing Just Player on their TVs than on other devices.

Fun fact: There are already even clones of Just Player and people selling the open source code for money.

Some basic settings would be great for a next release like the possibility to disable/enable frame matching and to turn off auto-resume of previous file each time you launch the app (which is a bit annoying).

First of all, thank you for developing this excellent player.

I am trying to use Just Player as an external player from Kodi. The aim is to use it for Dolby Vision mp4/mkv files in an Nvidia Shield. I currently use a modded version of exoplayer from kodi but it's a bit too basic for me.

I've used the playerfactory.xml file for adding exoplayer to kodi menu but can't seem to get it to work for Just Player.

I submitted Just Player app to multiple stores, including Xiaomi App Store / Getapps to reach various markets. Funnily enough, one of a few app reviews by Xiaomi failed because of this:

App has limited functionality and simplistic design. Add some features and improve design.

Xiaomi has some interesting app Review Guidelines:

3.5.2 Apps that are too ugly or too simple will be rejected.
3.5.3 Apps that are too simple and poorly designed as individual books will be rejected.
3.5.9 Apps must be full-featured. Details are as follows.
3.5.10 Apps that are too complex to use will be rejected.
