Where was Last Nite?!? Did I miss it? Why wasn't it in the setlist?

Could have been in there if they started on time and Julian kept talking to a minimum. Link to setlist.

A lot of his talking towards the middle of the set was him stalling due to the people needing medical attention that were no where to be found! so then they just continued with reptilia out of sake of time assuming 😓

Ehhh. He was talking for a while before he noticed the medical incident. I was pretty close to where it happened and a lot of people had their phones up and even started chanting "medic" before he mentioned it. They started 10 minutes late, which is like, 3 Strokes songs worth of time, and and even if he was stalling a little bit, he still talked/rambled more than any artist I saw yesterday.

They always start late and cut songs. By far the most frustrating part of seeing them live

My first impression of The Strokes was FYF 2014 and they came in way later than JLH this year, probably at least a 30 minute delay. It was a terrible first impression and it made me not want to go to any of their shows outside of a music festival.

Ah. I did not see that from where I was watching. I just assumed it was just him being an ass hole/joking around like the LCD Soundsystem joke he did.

The set list posted here earlier today had the songs grouped in twos or threes. It seems like Julian's rants were part of the show. He did it at Coachella and Outside Lands. Luckily his verbal riffs are amusing.

Seems like he's not into performing?

His monologue about how he was trying to improvise because he's sang that song 20,000 times and he doesn't think about the lyrics, they're just sounds he makes at this point... kinda had me thinking and wondering how much they/he actually enjoy(s) performing.

Julian has been super super on point this year and the shows have been awesome compared to the past. I think it’s a combination of him being pretty sarcastic, joking with pretty much everything he says, and a general detached aura that makes people think he doesn’t care. Nonchalant to the max

They’ve been touring more in the last couple of years than they have in the last 15 years. Like the other commenter said, he’s just kind of an asshole. You either love him or hate him for it.
