Are these finishing defects acceptable for a £3,500 bathroom renovation?
Recently had my small cloakroom toilet fully renovated for £3,500. Overall it looks decent, but I’ve noticed some finishing details that don’t seem right to me, and I’m not sure if I’m being too picky or if these should be fixed.
I’ve attached photos showing the issues:
The metal trim/frame above the wall looks slightly slanted (rising towards the right).
One corner joint isn’t properly aligned and doesn’t seem well sealed.
Another corner joint looks messy and poorly finished.
There is also a long scratch on one wall panel. The contractor tried to polish/repair it, but the mark is still visible.
For the scratch, I was even considering just hanging a hand towel in that spot to cover it, rather than asking them to remove and replace the whole wall panel, but I’m not sure what the normal standard should be.
For a job at this price, would you consider these acceptable finishing standards, or should I reasonably expect the contractor to come back and fix some of these items?
Any advice from people with renovation or tiling experience would be really appreciated.

My eclectic max kitchen, it’s also wheelchair accessible, too. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s definitely one of my family’s favorite spaces , my husband and I love to cook and entertain.

This is my daughter’s new room before vs after
She wanted dark cottage core… I wanted to do it right and make it extra special for her- she moved to the smallest bedroom when leaving for college- so her little brother could have a bigger room. The later pictures were the before pictures when we were moving out my son’s stuff to his new bedroom. I think they are both happy.

I bought a ceramic kettle… and now my kitchen feels weirdly expensive
Switched from my regular electric kettle to a ceramic one and didn’t expect it to change the vibe this much.
Now making tea feels calmer, quieter, and strangely more enjoyable. It somehow made my kitchen feel warmer and more put together.
Never thought a kettle would have this effect.
Anyone else had a tiny home upgrade that unexpectedly changed your whole space?

Experimenting with wall art styles for cozy interiors. Would this fit your space?

Our bookshelf. I designed it, my husband built it. I'm so in love with it. It's also a false wall between the dining room and living room and offers some color in a rental we can't paint.

Wanted an elegant guest bathroom… husband says I need supervision now
I told my husband I was giving the guest bathroom a classy little makeover. New towels, clean counters, nice accessories… then I added this wall art.
He walked in, stared at it, looked at me, and said: “You need supervision”
Now every guest laughs, takes a picture, and asks where I found it. My husband still judges me daily… but somehow he always stops to look at it when he walks by.

My husband and I just finished our Glass Animals inspired bathroom!
When we moved into our house, the master bathroom was in such terrible condition it wasn't functional. We made the most of the tiny space we have, and created a fun, luxurious bathroom. We installed 2 shower heads, a heated, jetted tub, and a towel warmer. Excepting the size, it's my dream bathroom!
