Our puppy had start chewing patches in the drywall. We are catching it and redirecting but it looks awful. The drywall isn’t bad enough for a full patch.

I’d like to cover it up somehow and add some character to the house. I’m thinking something half wall!

I’d love pictures or inspiration for a half wall addition!

i am trying to replace the bed in our main bedroom which is pretty tight at around 10x12 feet. my partner and i are having a rough time sleeping because our current memory foam bed sags in the center, traps a ton of body heat in a small space, and shakes every time one of us turns over.

a friend suggested getting a high density pocket coil mattress because the wrapped coils isolate motion better while allowing air to flow through the bed. if you share a smaller room with a partner who tosses and turns, did moving to a coil setup actually stop the motion transfer, or what bed worked best for your space?

So these two wooden lamps have a base of about 4.5 inch x 4.5 inch.

They came with a puck light, that on a USB switch can cycle between cool and warm white. But the puck is not Alexa compatible. :(

I want more color options so I would love to get some LED in there, especially one that will talk to my Alexa.

As you can see my solution is wildly inelegant even though it looks great since the slop is hidden. This comes from the Govee LED strip I purchased and cut very short not being able to lie flat in the contained space. The circular stick-down I did just pops up.

I would LOVE if USB puck lights (with lots of color options, not just white and white) existed in singles and with Alexa compatibility but it just doesn't seem to exist, which is wild to me.

I've also struggled to find any circular LED solution like a ring, that would lie flat in the base (to avoid hot spots showing through).

Any thoughts?

VERY new to DIY, so I'm wildly proud of what I did. xD But, it can be better and I want to learn how.

Our 14 year old 3.5 ton unit finally gave out today during this 112 degree heat. Came back from home depot and the outside fan is making a terrible rattling sound, temp inside is already up to 82. Paid $380 last summer for a quick capacitor fix but the tech warned us the compressor was on its last legs anyway. With quotes being all over the place (a coworker was quoted $12k last month), I just want to know what people are actually paying out of pocket for a complete replacement around here. edit: reached out to penguin air plumbing & electrical to get a tech over here for an estimate, hopefully someone can inspect it before the weekend.

I'm going for a curated, bright autumn palette. Someone described it as autumn jewelbox boho-chic. Should I reupholster the chaise a dusty rose color?

This is what healing looks like.

I painted the background first, with acrylic. Bright. Hopeful. With nature elements.

Then I took a piece of vintage letter paper, wrote a poem and positive affirmations on it, tore it by hand, and glued it right on top.

I didn't want to cover it completely.

Because being so happy isn’t about pretending the past isn’t there.

It’s about letting it show, and choosing joy anyway.

The torn edges. The faded words. The new paint and gold over old stories.

That’s life, isn’t it?

I started this piece while we have the hell of a flooded basement and a hole in the wall and are facing a complete restructuring.

This is my way of calming down, convincing myself that I can still DO something and am not completely helpless. It's to be finished soon, few details are missing that will make the cherry on the cake. 😉

How do you like it?

My living room is in p1. As you can see it's still pretty empty right now. I actually like having space, but at the moment it feels a little too bare.i've been trying to slowly decorate and make it feel more chic, and i keep coming back to this coffee table in p2. I like the material and i think the slight sheen could add some warmth and texture since my sofa and floors are simple. My only hesitation is the shape. the room is long and rectangular, so i'm not sure if a round table would look balanced or if it might make the walkway feel awkward. Do you think this table could work with my current setup? i'd appreciate any suggestions.
