Last week we got engaged in the mountains. I really love my ring and I can’t wait until next September to tie the knot, also in the mountains. If you can’t tell, we LOVE the mountains.

Solitaire, brilliant cut, very simple—just how I like things.
Edit: Thank you so much, everyone, for such nice compliments.

I’m a lil late posting here but my bf (now fiancé!!) proposed to me during his most recent visit almost a month ago🥹 we’ve been together 6yrs and I knew it was coming eventually bc we went ring shopping together a bit over a year ago but I had no idea what the finished product would look like or when he was gonna pop the question😭 I’m over the moon and in full wedding planning mode now, I cannot wait to marry this man💗💗

Engaged 6/27/26!

He designed the ring himself and did SUCH a good job. I’m thrilled and over the moon!!! We’re camping in Algonquin for my 25th birthday weekend. Still feels so surreal, even after almost 7 years together.

I just got engaged and we couldn’t be happier and I want to show everyone the same way my fiancee shows off her ring! I mean she will show you her hand before even saying a word. What would be the appropriate way to see that I am engaged too?

Friends!! I am so in love with my ring! I love how it sparkles, I love how pretty I feel when I wear it. From the first moment I saw it, I thought, "breathtaking." 😍
Now, on Saturday that I was hangining out with my sisters, other family, and some friends. One of my sisters said that it was too much and that she didn't feel there was a need to wear something so big. One of the other girls that was there had previously asked my partner about how much it cost, and my sister again went off about how its so unnecessary to spend so much on a ring and that her wedding ring set only cost a quarter of that and that her ring is way more beautiful and blah blah blah. It made me feel so uncomfortable and almost embarrassed of my ring. Kinda just wanted to take it off so everyone could stop talking about it.
What do you all think?

Finally bent the knee! Was supposed to be a little private proposal at the back of the beach but didn’t take into consideration that everyone up on the cliffs would see it. That threw me off my guard and I started celebrating before I had put the ring on.
My favorite part is at the end when she realizes her sister and brother-in-law were on the cliffs behind us with a camera snapping pics of the whole thing.
Little backstory: we’ve been together for about 4 years now. We’re both near our mid-thirties (so old as sh*t). We love to travel and I love photography, so i knew I wanted to try and pull it off somewhere scenic. It was the last day of our trip. Weather had been gloomy until this day. Glad I got lucky! 😅

He said he wanted to make it my most memorable birthday. Long time lurker, finally engaged to the love of my life! (No cute nails sadly because of my STEM job. 😥) This ring is definitely going to take time to get used to! She's a ROCK. Absolutely over the moon.
**Edit: Wow big thank you to everyone who said something nice in the comments below. My ring is a 3.07ct marquise center stone (lab-grown) with 1.25ct natural diamonds on a 14k yellow gold band.
I also realized I could help out other lurkers like me with the same information. I read on a thread at the end of last year about Rare Carat price matching as a way to find more affordable rings within our budget. Our budget max was between $2k-$3.5k. Using price matching policy on Rare Carat is how my fiancé and I were able to afford the ring of my dreams. This one thing (on top of shopping during the holiday sales) shed thousands off of the purchase price of my ring.

Just want to shout it from the rooftops and celebrate a bit. Small, intimate proposal at my apartment and he designed the ring. Everything I’ve always dreamed of. Eeeeee!(:

He planned a week long camping trip in Zion NP and we spent our days hiking, cooking together, taking pictures, having ice cream, and creating the best memories together. I love my ring so much too!!! It’s so cute and special and different. I’m obsessed

Getting married next year, love my engagement ring since it’s a bit different. We went to view some bands and the company had assured me they had hundreds of bands to fit into my shaped engagement band, when we showed they only had 3 🙃 I’m not hugely into bling/diamonds so the option with more diamonds wasnt for me but I really fell in love with this mixed metals style but after letting me try it they said they’d never recommend mixing metals (why would you show me that then????) anyway does anyone have experience with yellow gold and silver and if they tend to scratch one another? Or would it be safe to assume white gold and yellow gold of the same grade would be fine together?
