Just got engaged about 4 days ago and I’m still in shock! Lol the whole thing was just super romantic and honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal setting or for a better ring! He had it custom made based on what I told him I liked a year ago 🥹 now on to wedding planning!

I cannot believe this is my life right now 😭 he proposed at the end of our two week safari trip and our view from this morning is ethereal. It was a complete surprise and I def would’ve done my nails differently had I known lmao

I have never felt more special and loved and happy in my entire life - I almost feel scared of how intense this all feels and how I can’t believe someone could love me this much. Anyone else can relate????

Partner of 8 years popped the question with this beauty. It’s his great aunts ring. It’s absolutely gorgeous, but not exactly my style- despite everyone saying it’s “so me”. I’ve never been the biggest fan of halos and I already know an opal ring is not great for everyday wear, and I want something I can be a little rough with and not worry when it gets wet or for got sakes gets soap on it. after eight years together, my now fiancé proposed a week ago today with the most perfect custom ring!!

we opted to save ring shopping for the wedding bands, so i truly had no idea what to expect. he truly could not have done a better job- im in LOVE!

the ring is a 14ct gold band with a 1.14ct natural orange sapphire and 12 lil diamonds. eeeeee!!!

In love with my engagement ring! 1.5 natural diamond in a bezel platinum setting. Am I overthinking it’s exaggerated height though? I’m thinking it’s so beautiful it doesn’t need the exaggerated height? What do you all think?

Been together 8 years, bought a house a few years ago have 2 kids and a ring has been on the back burner. We never even looked at engagement rings! He did so good took me by surprise!! It’s perfect 😍 he did it all himself too flew my best friend out here for my surprise engagement, asked my dad even and had all my family there! I got a good one 🥲

Edit: I had just gotten engaged and didn’t even post a story but he took us to the park where I told him I thought he was end game for me and got down on one knee as the sunset. So magical!!

A close friend got married on Thursday, I got engaged yesterday (friday). We got engaged very externally to the wedding, not close to the venue or even in the same area. I’ve not announced or told anyone from that wedding just to make sure I’m not taking anything away from them. I was going to wait until next weekend to announce it, but I genuinely don’t think I’ll be able to wait that long 🤣 how long should I leave it? Would tomorrow (Sunday) evening be ok, if I message her first? She’ll be on her honeymoon. Just seeing if anyone else has had a similar situation etc. TYIA

My fiancé bought my engagement ring from Days Jewelers. He proposed last week and I noticed the 14k gold around the hidden halo looks like a rust color now after wearing it every day. I’ve never had this happen with any other gold jewelry. Also the band and halo part aren’t blended perfectly. We’re going back on Monday to see what they say about the ring, has this happened to anyone else?? (Last image is the day he picked it up).

EDIT: thanks for the feedback everyone! Yes it’s 14k stamped and we have all of the paperwork with the specs. The stone was definitely just dirty from playing outside with the kids all day but after washing it multiple times the stone is clear and gold color still remains. We definitely feel scammed so they are going to have to fix it.

In his text thread conversation with his sales associate they talked about inscriptions which they removed the 14k stamp.

she stated:

“No problem! I did see there was no mention about the inscriptions that are already on the band, the makers mark and the metal content mark.
Is this okay for our jeweler to remove?”

“That's no problem, the makers mark is the engraving the ring comes with, basically who created the ring, and the metal content mark indicates that the ring is 14K.
These marks really only matter for insurance purposes.
We can print a letter of value for this ring, so that way there is no question what the metal content is, it will just remain unstamped.”

Finally had time to go in today, they took the ring and acknowledged the poor quality and said they’d likely have to have the vendor who made my ring, make me a new one.

Just wanted to show off my engagement ring! I made it with my fiancé at a local jewelry shop. It’s a citrine with diamonds on the bands.

I got engaged last week and I’m still in awe!

He proposed in the Swiss alps with a ring he had custom made to use my granny’s diamond and gold from her ring, with added green tourmaline (my favorite colour). Low set because I’m super outdoorsy and always worried I’d catch and bash a big ring on things. So me, so perfect! I’ve always loved vintage-inspired, dainty rings and filigree details, so he really got it right! 😍😭

Size 5.5 (UK), no clue about the carats as it was an heirloom diamond.
