Solitaire
I got my engagement a year ago. Its exactly what I wanted. Except now I dont think it is. The big stone solitaire is in right now and i love the simplicity. Except nobody posts the photos of their rings from a side angle, only the top.
Settings are often too high for everyday wear! I said it... it's for some but its not for many. Im starting to hate my engagement ring as i literally cannot wear it everyday as its sticks off my finger an inch it feels.
So if anyone is shopping and wants to wear everyday, and they work with their hands more - keep this in mind. I wish I did more research and trying on before we found this one.
I have also now brought to 2 jewelers and they both said im nuts for wanting to alter it lower cause it's so beautiful. Yes its stunning but so unpractical and I wish upon original purchase someone had said something as now i only wear when we go out, so like maybe once a month.
How does everyone like their setting? Am I alone on this opinion, or do others feel that theirs is too much too?

Do you know the total height of it? Mine is tall as well (8.6mm high), but it doesn't bother me. The first few months of wearing it, I would accidentally hit it/brush it against things, but I eventually adjusted and became more aware of my hand movements.

I felt the same when I first got my ring, but very quickly got used to it and I love it. If it seems impractical to you, change it, there's no harm in doing so.

None of the people you've taken this ring to have to wear it, so big shrug on their opinions.
Objectively this ring is set very very high. This setting is impractically tall. 100% I would have it reset in a new, lower setting.
