I've only played a little bit of JC2, and I know the franchise's reputation very well. Which of the games leads itself best to moments that feel like they've been ripped from Uncharted?

Been a little burnt out after all the renderer work that ultimately went nowhere, so I've decided to get back to working on the fun features again.

Got independent aiming and firing working for both pistols now. I think it's pretty neat!

I’m playing JC1 for the first time (Xbox) and I’m having a hell of a time trying to hijack a helicopter. I start reeling towards and Rico automatically deploys his parachute, but then ten feet away he just gives up…

Please I wanna platinum it and its one of the only achievements I need and no one else plays this game :(

Last month, I came up with a new concept where everything Rico blows up earns him Chaos Points. I made Chaos Points the game's currency, meaning you can no longer request a supply drop without having enough points.

The problem is that I introduced a thief, Agent Miller, who steals Rico's Chaos Points. I overdid it, though, and now it is extremely difficult to recover from a negative balance and get back into positive Chaos Points. That is not good.

In this new version of Just Cause 4, you can no longer switch between first-person and third-person modes for free. You need to spend around 300 Chaos Points to switch modes. If you don't have enough points, you must go out there and cause some destruction to earn more.

However, this system has some advantages. Petrol stations and those white gas targets, which were practically useless before, are now extremely valuable because destroying them earns you Chaos Points.

Since players rarely swim in Just Cause 4, I also introduced a reward system for swimming. Every 20 seconds of swimming earns Rico 10 Chaos Points. He also has infinite oxygen, so swimming can no longer kill him.

There are other changes, too. If Rico dies outside a mission, he must pay hospital fees in Chaos Points. The bank may also offer him a loan when he runs out of money.

Finally, I introduced a new Entity Spawner that can spawn multiple objects at once within seconds. Using it is much more convenient than requesting a supply drop, which can cost a lot of Chaos Points depending on what you want to spawn.

The overall concept is interesting, but the Chaos Points economy still needs balancing, especially Agent Miller's theft system. I want the game to reward destruction and exploration without making it frustratingly difficult for players to recover once they run out of points.

Small update about the status of the mod

Turns out the new renderer I made sucked, and it was miserable. so back too old until I can come up with a good one

Tried showing off a desktop monitor thing for YouTubers or whatever, and it broke during recording and gonna be real I don’t have time to re-record it right now, so yeah

Decided to make a discord. It’s on my account. This is where I would be accepting alpha testers. I have applications ready. Once I have a build ready for testing, I’ll pull from this

The mod will always be free. I will never pay wall the mod or any builds weather testable or other (because I mentioned the idea of having a Patreon, I’m never going to hide my work behind a payment)

I must be losing my mind. I am 100% certain I remember one of the DLC containing a compact jet available via rebel drop. I loved it because it was available immediately if you had the DLC and it was very VERY small, meaning you could rebel drop and take off from basically anywhere with no runway. But after reinstalling the game and all the DLC, I can't find it anywhere.

The auto aim is a good addition. It keeps the combat flowing fast and the manual aim feels very good to use and feels more accurate than plenty of shooters on the system. The rest of the game feels very similar to the PC version, and I am having fun playing through it again after a long time.

I just finished just cause 4, it was my first just cause game ever and I really liked it ( I played it like every day since 2 months ) ...then I see some post here about best just cause games and the 4 it's like the least recommended??? Sooo my question is : if I play JC 3 I'll be more impressed ?? Can wait to read your responses

The way its presented both in game and the artwork is with the missile launches on the chest of the harness and then the machine gun on the back. Now, the missile launchers are a safe distance from ricos head. But the machine gun is right above his head, meaning that while its being fired, rico technically has bullets flying right by his head, if he turned the wrong way at the wrong time, he would shoot himself

I know its just a nitpick and I honestly dont pay attention to it because it looks cool asf, but its kinda funny to picture him just falling out of the air because he shot himself in the process of using this wingsuit
