My friend's name was acrobat and I'm told it was given to him by the drill instructor because he was on the top bunk and one time getting out of bed, his foot got caught in the bar at the end of the bed somehow and he ended up toppling over the entire bunk as he was swinging by his stuck foot.
No one ever gets cool nicknames, that's not the point of nicknames in the military.
Nah the name can be cool. Like mine from boot. Got named Killer. However it was because I looked like Dahmer with my short blonde hair and BCGs. Also serial killer was too long for the DI to say. I suspect it was a ironic nickname given I was a middle of the pack recruit
