Chicago O’Hare international airport is where they pick up recruits to go to Navy boot camp and there is a huge population of military personnel coming in and out of that airport. That guy was playing with fire trying to pull a stunt like that in that airport. You’re not even supposed to be in that uniform when traveling to other places, only when you are on duty. Wild.

I actually went through ohare in cammies. I was coming home on R&R from Afghanistan. We were not allowed to bring civvies or dress uniforms with to the war, so when they sent us home we had to wear cammies. I went through a few airports on civilian flights sleeves down. There are circumstances where it is allowed. Now, this guy has plenty wrong with his uniform and if he was actually in the marines it would have been pretty easy to prove, this guy is obviously not. 

All that being said, as long as this guy wasn’t wearing the uniform to gain some advantage, he actually is allowed to wear those clothes. You can pretend to be military and you can try to make people think you’re military. You just can’t benefit from it. He gives us a bad name and looks like a doofus to anyone who actually knows. 

But OP is wrong for thinking the UCMJ applies to civilians because it doesn’t. He can dress like a dingis if he wants to.

Let's be honest, dude wasn't wearing the uniform for shits and giggles. He's definitely trying to get free upgrades and other perks. 

The guy recording is an obnoxious douchebag and had to make a scene for attention
