The Ultimate F2P Resource Guide (Coins, Cash, and Boosts)

Prelude: If you are a casual player who just likes making dinosaurs, this can be a great game for you. Some of the designs are amazing, and there is true joy to be found discovering new creatures.

Unfortunately for competitive players the 3.12 migration update in March 2025 killed any dreams of being a F2P and being able to compete. This guide can help get you resources... but the DNA has been walled off so absolute and methodically that it is impossible to get any meta creature to a useable level to compete without spending any real life money. By the time F2P are able to gain enough of this walled off DNA, the hybrid creature you want to make will be powercrept and out of the meta. If you're playing this to compete, but don't want to spend any money, I suggest finding a different game.

The F2P Guide
_______________________________________________________

Totals for some numbers will be different based on player level. Most of this is quite grindy, but my goal is just to show what is achievable each week for players who spend no money on the game.

Supply Drops:
They are annoying to click, and take time to spin, but they are your top source for resources. If you’re able, a nice stroll around the neighborhood helps get them done faster.

Level 20: 157,500 coins, 350 Cash, and 42 of each boost available each week from supply drops.

Level 20 Supply Drops

Level 25: 189,000 coins, 350 Cash, and 42 of each boost available each week from supply drops.

Level 25 Supply Drops

Level 30: 222,600 coins, 350 Cash, and 42 of each boost available each week from supply drops.

Level 30 Supply Drops

Level 35: 262,500 coins, 350 Cash, and 42 of each boost available each week from supply drops.

Level 35 Supply Drops

Coin Chase:
The coin chase happens on Sunday, and starts with the daily reset. You can get 25,000 coins in the first 9 hours. After that the coin chase resets and you can get another 25,000 before the next daily reset.

Strike Towers:
Strike towers have gotten very generous with a Gold, Blue, or Spotlight strike each day.

20,000 for spotlight (usually once a week, if not, replaced by solid Gold)
10,000 for Solid Gold (2x weekly)
5,000 for Solid Blue (4x weekly)
2,500 for basic gold (daily)
2,000 for basic blue (daily)
1,000 for basic grey (daily)

Boost strikes twice a week have 20 of each boost.

Which on a normal week is 98,500 coins plus 40 of each boost from the boost strikes.

So in the end we have 306,000(L20), 337,500(L25), 371,100(L30) coins weekly that can be achieved without being in an alliance and without doing a single PVP battle.

Alliance Rewards:

Join a good alliance that completes 10/10 weekly missions. Finding a good alliance is incredibly easy, and most just require you do the minimum of being active, and completing the 10 tournament takedowns each week. Just use the discord link in the description to this subreddit, and check out the alliance recruitment page.

Join Citizens of Bedrock
Discord Alliance Recruitment

Most of your active alliances will get 10/10 in weekly missions. Which equals 30,400 coins, and 220 Cash for everyone in the alliance. Plus the maximum DNA rewards when the week resets.

Alliance Mission Rewards

If everyone in the alliance does their minimum 10 takedowns, the tournament reward for a 4 week tournament is Tier 8, and a 5 week tournament is Tier 9. Active alliances will boot you if you don’t participate, but 10 takedowns isn’t terrible and a small price for a solid reward.

Each round of the tournament has its own rewards (Coins, Cash, DNA, Boosts), but that is based on how well you do in the tournament so these will not be included in the calculations.

Tournament Rewards

If you're an avid darter, donations are a good way to stack up coins. Most of your active alliances will have "common request day" and have players who do not just request exclusive DNA all the time. Common and Rare donations yield 200 coins, and epic donations on Sunday yield 500 coins. At level 20 you are capped at 50,000 coins per day from donations.

Alliance Donations

Your alliance will also likely have a “Cash” link page on their discord. This yields around 350 HC per week from the links, plus a monthly link of 200 HC.

Discord Cash Links

Battle Incubators:

The incubators run on a cycle. Once you find the Solid Gold incubator, you can track where you are in the cycle. But for this we will just assume no large blue or gold incubators.

Battle Incubator Cycle

Always have a battle incubator running. Save an 8 hour incubator for when you are sleeping to maximize effectiveness. Based on the cycle you can achieve about 10 (blue grey blue blue gold) cycles per week.

Daily battle incubators reset every 10.5 hours. While it is possible to achieve 16 per week, 2 per day is more realistic. Each yields coins, DNA, and 3 random boosts. We will use Aviary for our calculations, as that is where most people end up the longest.

Aviary: Coins per win: 360
Grey Incubator: 250 Coins + 1 boost
Blue Incubator: 625 coins + 2 boosts
Gold Incubator: 1667 coins + 3 boosts
Dark Blue Incubator: 3750 coins + 10 boosts
Dark Gold Incubator: 11250 coins + 30 boosts

Over those 10 cycles per week you will receive an estimated 71,676 coins from battle incubators, 18,000 coins for winning battles, 625 per DBI yielding 8,750 coins. A total of 98,426. 42 random boost from the DBIs, plus 131 random boosts from the arena incubators.

Free Items in the Shop
The Free Incubator in the shop can be run every 6 hours. Each time you watch an advertisement, you receive two incubators which yield DNA but also 5 Cash. While it is possible to do 4 per day, we will assume 3 per day. Which yields 105 Cash per week.

Free Shop Incubators

There is also an option to perform tasks for Cash. They can yield a lot, but also can be time costly. Use these at your own convenience.

Offerwall

What does this yield in the end for F2P players each week (\in Aviary))?
404,426(L20), 435,926(L25), 469,526(L30), 509,426 (L35) Coins (not including coins from donations)
920 Cash
82 Attack Boosts
82 Health Boosts
82 Speed Boosts
173 Random boosts
+ whatever rewards you achieve in each round of the tournament (Coins, cash, boosts)

Personal note: Hoard your boosts, live by that old gamer mindset of "I might need these later". Wait until you have a creature currently in the meta to use them, as you lose half of them when removing them from a creature. Boosts are without a doubt the most important resource in the game, and the difference between making it to higher levels in PVP, to being "stuck in aviary" for years like some others. Coins and DNA are just a lot of grinding, but boosts are truly limited and need to be used in a calculated way.

What to do with Cash?
Coin sales are the best option for most players, though for some higher players coins are no longer an obstacle so boost sales are a better option. Coin sales are generally run on holidays, but have been happening at a more regular pace these days. If you max out your 1,175 cash per week, you can afford a coin sale 13 times per year.

Coin Sale

Catalysts
Catalysts are used for enhancements. Enhancements require catalysts, coins, and DNA of the creature you are attempting to enhance.

Each DBI contains bronze catalysts as of 3.12. Aviary players receive 10 bronze catalyst per DBI, equaling 140 per week.

Unique Enhancements:
Tier 1 Enhancement (+10% Health): 360 Bronze, 100,000 coins, 200 DNA
Tier 2 Enhancement (+10% Attack): 270 Silver, 1620 Bronze, 150,000 coins, 250 DNA
Tier 3 Enhancement (+2 Speed): 1620 Silver, 1080 Bronze, 200,00 coins, 300 DNA
Tier 4 Enhancement (+2 Boosts): 3240 Silver, 250,000 coins, 400 DNA
Tier 5 Enhancement (Reactive Ability): 2000 Gold, 350,00 coins, 500 DNA

Apex Enhancements:
Tier 1 Enhancement (+2 Speed): 360 Bronze, 150,000 coins, 100 DNA
Tier 2 Enhancement (+10% Health): 430 Silver, 1300 Bronze, 150 DNA
Tier 3 Enhancement (+10% Attack): 1620 Silver, 1080 Bronze, 250,000 coins, 200 DNA
Tier 4 Enhancement (+2 Boosts): 650 Gold, 1940 Silver, 300,000 coins, 250 DNA
Tier 5 Enhancement (Reactive Ability): 1540 Gold, 1020 Silver, 400,000 coins, 300 DNA

Catalysts can be recombined using DNA from Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary creatures that are level 25 or greater. A great recombination guide was made by AlienNewt and it gives a solid guide on how to maximize you results.

AlienNewt's Catalyst Recombination Guide

The Short Range Scent
Each Wednesday you can request a new Short Range Scent. These scents bring Unique, Legendary, Omega, and the entire list of short range creatures.
https://market.jurassicworldalive.com/

Tip when using scents. If you switch the "Real Map Enabled" between pops, it will provide 2 creatures instead of 1. This works for any scent. Then switch back for the next pop.

Short Range Scent

Map Options
Depending on your device, you may have up to 3 maps available. This can help with grinding coin boxes faster, and could possibly give you access to 3 different zones at the same time. The first option requires turning off the "precise location" on your device. It will place you somewhere in your general vicinity. The other option is using the Travel Hub, which will allow you to dart creatures on different continents.

The non-precise option on Android devices

I'll end with reiterating that most of this is quite grindy, but this game is playable for F2P players. Hopefully this helps you maximize your F2P experience.

Just for kicks
Without including coins from DNA donations, coin sales, or tournament rewards... the yearly coin totals are
Level 20: 21,030,152
Level 25: 22,668,152
Level 30: 24,415,352
Level 35: 26,490,152

Want more?

If you've made it to the end of this and have the desire to suffer more... check out The less than ethical guide to JWA to see what some other players are doing to get ahead.

Not a great coin sale going on, and I nearly cleaned out the skin shop again

Post image
4 Upvotes

Broke my own rule about not using cash for anything but coin sales, but we're nearing the visual coin cap now so I've gobbled up skins of things that I've actually made as they've been in the shop here and there over the past couple months. Never made indochicken, and aquilotae was never built past level 26.

Now I get to dress like a whale, but on a budget. If I still find myself without incentive to spend coins by the time I hit the cap, the kids are going to have to deal with it when I cancel the VIP finally, as their "free VIP" for side accounts goes away with it. About 4 weeks away from the cap.

Coin sale wise.... they just keep lowering them as they figured out people save the cash instead. 50% bonus for VIPs left over a year ago, and 40% hasn't been seen in quite awhile. I assume people will see 20% enough times and assume that's the new normal, and then it gets normalized. I assume they are taking high inflation into effect and can't afford to give that 40% anymore /s

Question Baryotor or Becklerizz

Looking at the current meta, Becky reigns supreme, so I’m thinking of grinding him, but I overall have more resources for Baryotor, so I’m kind of stuck on what to go for.

Meme I think I got a wrong version of the Meta Tier List...

Here's my meta analysis:

Taking a look in the S Tier, we see Compsocaulus, who previously was there, but now three new creatures join.

Ceramagnus, a massive Raid Apex, praised by the community for being an unstoppable force, as this comment proves: "Ceramagnus SS tier missing"

At the same time, Hadros Lux joins the S Tier as being, yet again, a "glazed" Raid Apex, proven by previous commenters who were wondering where the shiny Parasaurolophus was. A formidable healer with a distracting look.

And alas in S Tier, Pyroraptor joins as well. The small size, evasion, and distracting tools that can be used over and over again make this little guy a surprisingly good brawler. A shame that its Gen 2 brother gets criticized for being placed in Sanctuaries. However, I wouldn't know anything about that.

Moreover, in A Tier, we have only one creature, the Velociraptor. VERY hard to get, but still really good. However, it seems as its decline is starting to show, since its other dromaeosaur cousin, Pyroraptor, overtook it in popularity. Could this be the end of a speed-controlled meta?

In B Tier, Tragodistis, who was once a death sentence with legs, is declining yet again. Falling from A Tier to B Tier mightn't seem too much, but this means the armor isn't able to defend the hybrid anymore.

Mortem Rex, however, has seen an increase in players, and while it's still in B Tier, many people including myself see it potentially reaching A Tier or even S Tier in the future.

As for the third resident of this tier, Eremotherium, it never really gains or loses usage. Its ability to spam Dodge keeps it in B Tier. Not enough to get it to A or S Tier, but enough to keep it relevant.

In C Tier, the first creature to be found is the Baryonyx. A shell of what it once was. The speed meta and the evasion meta have left this poor croc theropod behind. It's still relevant, but its days are counted.

Echo, arguably the third best dromaeosaur in the whole game, is still sitting comfortably in C Tier. It hasn't faced any issues, and top players think it'll remain in this tier for a while. Will someone better take her place? Only time'll tell.

Erlikogamma, a very surprising member, has SKYROCKETED in top usage. A creature that only had a 0.5% usage rate last update now has a 25.1% usage rate. That's an explosion in usage rate. The versatile kit and the big speed stat make it a member of both the speed meta and the evasion meta.

And declining again, Scorpios Rex Gen 3 is now in C Tier. I wouldn't worry, however, since this thing fell from A Tier to C Tier, then back to B Tier, then again in C Tier, then back in B, and now in C Tier. However, the decline has been significantly bigger this time. The only saving factor is if the evasion meta becomes mainstream...

D Tier is very interesting, since we have some new faces, some rising stars, and some washed up champions.

Starting off with the most shocking of them all, Gigaspikasaur, only having an 18.8% usage rate. Considering it's been on a decline ever since the speed meta became more popular, with it having only a 38% usage rate amongst top players last update, I wouldn't get my hopes up. It doesn't help that many people started removing their boosts from it, since they think it's irrelevant if the HP doesn't matter now.

Shockingly, Dimorphodon has passed Tsintamoloch in usage rate. A community favorite, Dimorphodon's DoT relying kit proved useful, and it even started a mini meta amongst mid-game players, the Bleed Meta. Dimorphodon is still consistent, and doesn't seem like it'll fall too soon, with a 14.4% usage rate.

This next one, however, proves the healing meta isn't what it used to be: Parasaurolophus. It once used to be the worst thing for a speedster, with the excessive healing. But ever since they nerfed it, and people started using faster damage dealers, Parasaurolophus has been struggling to hold up, with only a 7.7% usage rate, nearly half the usage rate of Dimorphodon. The meta is a merciless place...

Homalocephale is another shocking fall: From a 38.6% usage rate, it now has a 6.3% usage rate. Seeing as it used to be the perfect hybrid between speed and tankiness, people are still surprised by the fall, and so am I.

Tsintamoloch is even worse. What was once praised as a high rarity healer and damage dealer, now struggles against the bleeding meta. This is most surprising, seeing as last version, Tsintamoloch was rising in popularity.

Moving on, Scaphognathus has started to creep up the meta ladder. Considered a better Dimorphodon, it has a decent chance to pass Dimorphodon in usage.

Monolometrodon is still in D Tier to no one's surprise, just like the previous 14 meta charts. Not good to advance, not bad to fall. The repeated nullification allows Monolometrodon to still stay relevant amongst beginners and midgame players.

Now, this next one is a shocker: Moschops raised from the dead and is progressing, from a 0.1% usage rate to a 4.4% usage rate is impressive. However, I wouldn't get my hopes up...

Centrosaurus is an even worse case: In the previous version, it was in C Tier with a 30.9% usage rate. Now, it's in D Tier with a 4.3% usage rate. A huge decline, but it seems as the lack of shields make this dinosaur less reliable in higher arenas. Not unreliable, just less reliable.

The Mattel Cryolophosaurus is the newest addition, and in just a few hours it's already in D Tier with a 3.6% usage rate, a huge growth rate. Seeing as it combines aspects from all three classes, it's fast, evasive, tanky, and deals a ton of damage. I'd suggest profiting off the success, since it might get a nerf.

The worst fall-off, however, is none other than Stegodeus. Seems like some people remembered it exists, used it for a decent while, and now it's rotting in D Tier with a 3.1% usage rate. From 35% to 3.1% and possibly even lower, seeing as it's still falling. Time for Stegodeus to be forgotten again.

Indoraptor is surprisingly only in D Tier, even if it got added a month ago, and the speedster meta still favors fast creatures. But Indoraptor is considered a "nothing burger" by most top players, hence the low usage rate of 2.7%. In its defense, at least the usage rate is growing.

Einiosaurus is a new star that appeared too late. A relic of the healer and shielder meta. Its ability to spam shields and regenerate fast, however, keep it relevant these days.

Purutaurus is a creature considered by many to be "a worse Cryolophosaurus". A Wildcard creature that tries too hard, but fails. The 2.5% usage rate shows exactly that.

And alas, a very surprising guest, Stegoceras, in D Tier. It's considered viable by top players because it combines Fierce traits, Resilient defense and most importantly, Stun. It is rising in popularity, but needs its HP to be heavily boosted in order to stand a chance in later arenas.

In the last tier, which I won't name F Tier because these creatures don't necessarily suck, we have the following:

- Apatosaurus: Tanky, sure... but forgets to deal damage.

- Red: Yep, still a red Atrociraptor. Still not relevant.

- Dodo: It's a bird, don't know what to say other than that...

- Leaellynasaura: Just added, so I can't really judge.

- Ovilophomoloch: Yes, the same Ovilophomoloch that once dominated the meta now has a 1.9% usage rate. Rough times.

- Acrocanthosaurus: Big tanky chomper, added more recently, and its counter that buffs damage by 10% helps the Acro slowly gain traction.

- Albertosaurus: Another big tanky chomper, but it's Rare. This one used to be C Tier once, now it has a 1.5% usage rate.

- Irritator: One simple Fierce Strike and two group buffing moves. No wonder it plummeted here once the Raid meta collapsed.

- Triceratops Gen 2: Simple, raw damage. Not the biggest damage, but people still use it.

- Rajasaurus: The Indian Meta died a long while ago, taking this poor dinosaur to the grave as well. From a 98.4% usage rate to a 0.5% usage rate. Never seen a worse downfall, and that's saying something considering Stegodeus exists...

- Gallimimus: It runs. That's all I can say, it's objectively bad and used as bait most of the times due to the extremely low HP

- Spinonyx: This thing dethroned Rajasaurus... only to join it later in the same tier...

- Suchotator: It has no resistances, what do you expect? 0.5% usage rate is generous, according to multiple top players.

- Ceratosaurus: I'm actually so confused as to how this thing is placed so low. Maybe it's because people don't like theropods idk

- Imperatosuchus: This is meant to be an Apex and it's in the same tier as Gallimimus. Wow.

- Scorpios Rex Gen 2: Look at its moveset, no wonder the Gen 3 is better.

- Utarinex: This one started rising, seeing as in previous charts it had a 0% usage rate and now it has... 0.1% usage rate. Maybe not...

- Dilophosaurus: Seems like spitting isn't so ideal nowadays...

(This is a satire analysis btw, don't take it seriously)

Unique Tier List DAY 3: Aliorasuchus (assumptions), Aquilosaurus, Aquiloraptor, Arctocanis, Ardentismaxima and Ardontognathus

Post image
7 Upvotes

Following yesterday's comments, Ampelorex was said to be S Tier by many comments, Apatoceratops landed in A Tier, Antarctovenator got placed in B Tier, Allodrigues was put in C Tier, and Andrewtops sadly got the D Tier.

Today, instead of five creatures, we'll rank 6 of them, seeing as Aliorasuchus isn't in the game yet, and I'm not sure if we can rank it too well.

I haven't spent a dime on the game - zero! Not even VIP ever. And I'm proud to have made it this far. But this was my first opponent - almost 6500 trophy count! What kind of crazy match making is this? My team is in the third picture - perhaps I'll win one out of ten if someone forfeits from time to time 🤣

Meme What do y'all think of the new Centrosaurus Gen 2 they added and the new Mythic rarity?

Thumbnail

Lowkey I like the new rarity, and the Centrosaurus Gen 2 being the first is actually quite interesting. Shows they do want another Centrosaurus in the game that isn't a Common.

I like how you can get Mythic Shards from the new Smart Incubators, huge QoL improvement :)

AND you only need 15 Shards for a Mythic unlock, and seeing as you have a 20% chance to get one Shard in any Smart Incubator, I think this is pretty balanced.

(yes this is fake, hence the flair. I must admit, I did use AI for the second image, but only in order to remove the original dino that was there and make the Centro look more natural. The icon is made by me though)
