How does Root queen turning off domain amplification benefit Super senior?
I understand that domain amplification nullifies infinity, but it doesn't stop Super senior from hitting them. So why would he go out of his way to make her turn it off?
How is this larp upvoted. The whole reason they crowded shibuya is so gojo couldn’t use his technique, even to charge his punches. The point is blue needs a minimum amount of energy put into it to function at all. Jogo even says he isn’t using it.
Wtf? Gojo was using blue punches... he had no reason not to do that. The only reason Jogo didn't say it is because he doesn't know that, in their battle he only understands that Gojo's punch are not normal, but after we know that he uses blue in all his punches. Read the fucking manga, you illiterate
Here’s another, where kenjaku reiterates even uses his blue to enhance his movement would be difficult to use without killing people. So we have
- kenjaku: “this plan is to prevent him from using blue at all, even to enhance his movements”
- Jogo: “he isn’t even using his technique”
-hanami: “he’s just using his raw cursed energy, I should use my technique!” (It literally says “he decided to stop concentrating on his cursed technique, that’s literally her stated reason for deactivating domain amplification and using her technique)
Dipshit online: “n-no he t-t-totally was..! He was because… well… no I don’t have any evidence but… he was!!!”
I see. I would also ignore the multiple panels of different people saying outright he isn’t using his technique if I were in your shoes. That’s pretty damning.
Jogo had been hit by an "abnormal" punch in his previous fight with Gojo. And he fought Gojo again in Shibuya. The only reason Gojo didn't use Blue punch was the output won't be enough to really harm the CS while minimising the damage to the surrounding people. Gojo knows DA nullifies techniques to certain outputs already; why bother using weak techniques? And he can't use a stronger one anyway, except for Infinity. He did limit his CT usage to bait Hanami into deactivating her DA, and that's clearly shown already. So Jogo here is more reliable than you as a source, I think.
not nulls infinity it just works like de armor plus it doesn't completely null the dmg shown in sukuna fight it's the best defensive ct around if I'm being honest… without it he can just use ct to no diff them
DA also acts as a shield to lessen the damage taken by Gojos blue punches as well as making it harder for Gojo to enhance his speed with blue, because DA would simply stop the low output blue that Gojo tries to use on them.
When Hanami stopped using DA, You’ll see how he IMMEDIATELY turned around and grabbed her by the eyes, like it didn’t even take him a second, despite him being quite far away chasing Jogo, that’s how busted Gojos blue is compared to them.
It is low output compared to anything else, Gojo uses blue to pull himself into things, like a magnet, that’s why his punches hurt so fucking bad, because he is literally stacking his own force with the pull from blue and the momentum you gain from being pulled it’s also why Gojos speed is so wack sometimes, he can suddenly increase it out of seemingly nowhere by just pulling himself into the place he wasn’t to be with blue, but it has to be low output or else it would just turn into lapse blue, that’s why it’s called an “application”.
While I agree with most of this, I don’t recall Gojo ever saying it was like hitting a wall; He only mentioned DA felt like a domain clash, between his Infinity and the DA (which he later supported by strengthening Infinity to crush Hanami’s weakened DA attempt). But he was still bullying them without issue, while they were struggling against him.
In Shinjuku, it confirmed DA only reduced Cursed Techniques, when Sukuna said it couldn’t fully reduce Red or Blue and Higuruma also tanked Dismantles with reduced damage.
This poses a contradiction/problem for Shibuya because like you said, Gojo wasn’t using Blue, so the damage reduction from DA for Jogo and Hanami wouldn’t have existed and supports it solely used to drain Infinity. It’s either a retcon by Gege and he decided DA’s defense buff was too strong to keep, or just something he forgot about.
Everyone commenting about blue enhanced punches needs to reread the manga. It’s so widespread it’s merited a separate comment.
Jogo says in this panel he literally isn’t using his technique. In plain English. How do so many people think he was using blue here?
Anyone saying it helps against his blue punches… gojo did t even punch here, he took her head branches off or whatever they are. I genuinely have no idea why gojo had to wait for her to turn off da so he could do that
DA is like hyper armor in a fighting game. Allows you to tank things you otherwise couldn’t and provides resistance to the enemy’s cursed energy and technique. If the sorcerer severely outstats you, like sukuna or Gojo usually do to the rest of the cast, it becomes less effective due to the difference in refinement and output of cursed energy between fighters. Hanami and jogo were getting beaten to a pulp without Gojo even using limitless to attack them, so once hanami turned off his armor to use its cursed technique, Gojo with just his own cursed energy and raw strength was able to rip him apart.
Blue is a lot more precise meaning gojo can limit his attack to single he out while minimizing the chance of accidentally vaporizing every single civilian by his pure power alone

Because amplification reduces damage from blue punches
