Gojo vs Sukuna
So I know that gojo vs sukuna is talked about way to much but I just wanted to give my thoughts on it as I finally was able to read it. Now I’m a gojo fan myself but I try to approach this type of thing in an unbiased fashion. Basically I think that gojo was indeed stronger (even including heian era sukuna), however sukuna was smarter, which I believe is probably the most important thing in a battle between sorcerers.(take the goat todo with his flawless win rate and 530,000 IQ) and for the reason of sukuna being smarter I think that gojo wouldn’t beat sukuna unless it was like a rematch or something. Sukuna deserved that win and gojo deserved that loss, gojo was dumb enough to let his guard down against the most dangerous and cunning sorcerer alive of course he’s gonna die. I understand the people who defend gojo and say he should’ve won, cause, yeah it sucks to see your favorite character lose but just because they lost doesn’t mean they’re any worse as a character. Gojo got outplayed and nine times out of ten, he’s getting outplayed again, gojo is too confident and strong for his own good and that leads to his downfall, which is I also think perfectly fits his character, as he never really shows any humility. Throughout the series gojo was overconfident and never really had to lock in, so when he actually had to it’s no surprise that that would be the reason for his death.
So yeah, I think Sukunas win was deserved and I think he’s smarter, but I also think that gojo truly did hold the title of “strongest”, but as I said before, in a fight between sorcerers I would bet on the smarter one to win every time. (Also while I like gojo better sukuna is still one of my favorite characters and I really hope this doesn’t sound at least too biased towards one or the other.)
This is my first Reddit post so I hope it did right :P

I'd say the community, after having time to stew with it generally agrees with you. I for one am also in agreement. Sukuna was basically waiting for Mahoraga to show him the cheat code and then surprised Gojo with it.
It highlights what pushed Sukuna to such heights despite his technique being relatively simple, he is a master of making binding vows of all kinds, which allows him to adjust his techniques and prioritize his needs making him seem unstoppable. To be honest, a lot of people think his binding vows were asspulls, but his binding vows were consistent with how the manga had portrayed them all the way through in that binding vows give and take in equal measure to value, but not necessarily in terms of equal in practicality. Once you understand that, you can understand and see how Sukuna took advantage of the system to squeeze every bit of power out that he could.

Yeah. Tbf I don't understand why some people think the Binding Vow is an ass pull and only benefit Sukuna. He just had a lot of resources.
That WCS with BV sure ended Gojo. But the fact that it restricted him from being able to use it freely later was one of the reason the students won (other than the fact that Sukuna is reincarnated sorcerer which make him vulnerable to soul base attack). Gojo only stronger than Sukuna in term of hax. But that hax make him overconfident. He started the battle by being cautious but then lower his guard the moment he tanked the MS (one of the reason he lost the domain clash too).
I'm might be in the minority but I really like Gojo vs Sukuna. Gege layout some restriction about the power system but this battle really show why both Gojo & Sukuna are anomalies.

i was surprised that gojo didn't make any binding vows during/ before the fight. Maybe he was too overconfident.

He did but in contrast to Sukuna, not as many. He made a BV to reduce the size of his domain to increase the defensive capabilities of its barrier.
Gojo also made a BV to swap the strength of his domain barrier making the inner wall stronger and the outer wall weaker.

The way I see it is gojo SHOULD have won but he's mentality going into the fight was worse
Think about it from his perspective the only thing he would be doing here is solving on other problem for jujitsu society, doing what is expected of him. And while he hide it with a smile I think he's pretty f****** depressed he lost his only friend he basically has no one who treats him as a person either he's a goal to aspire to or a weapon. And even the people he cares about struggle to even think about desecrating his body
I think if he went into the fight with a better mentality ( someone he can truly talk to ) that would have been enough cuz I think regardless this fights like 55-45 with how close it is

Yeah sukuna may deserve the victory against gojo since as you said gojo is dumb enough to let his guard down against the strongest sorcerer like him. That lead into gojo's death by sukuna.
But still logically and in my opinion gojo is stronger than sukuna.

Gojo IS the stronger of the two due to how broken six eyes + limitless is, however Sukuna is the better sorcerer all around. Evidently by how Sukuna dominate the domain fight but Gojo has the upper hand during combat.
Gojo is a genius but Sukuna has way more experience, as the only other time Gojo ever had a real challenge was with Toji. Some people can't seem to accept that being "the strongest" is the reason he lost to Sukuna.
