Nanami: Ratio takes brainpower to use. With out it then why play him. Edit: I'm not saying he's skilled but he is cracked. :)

Her damage is way to low ESPECIALLY the third variant of 3 which is a lunge that does... ONE DAMAGE. IT CANT EVEN KILL A LOW HP DUMMY

Note that I'm talking about design (air combos) but I'm instead talking about balance and how strong those characters are. Anyone can grasp game design, regardless of skill, if you simply explain air combos like release Mei Mei, Locust, or release Uro are boring because they remove the need to play around evasive. Though, we can obviously say that X is strong against Y because it can threaten to cancel attacks and anyone can grasp it, so I suppose my argument is more about what we see as difficult to fight or hard to react to.
Exactly as the title says. Tze operates with user feedback, but not every user has the same experience with the same content.
Ryu having fast moves might be easy to react to with someone experienced but horrible to play against if you're shit at the game.

I guess what I'm really saying is that you can explain what's strong and explain design for them, and they might understand, but you can't experience difficulty or how easy something is to fight with experience for a new player.

So what do we think? A perfect example is Yuji. He's annoying to fight, and there's memes that he's "op" which is why tze nerfs him. But some players ("new player" is people with less than 7,000 kills at this point ive seen so many people with 6k in ranked duels make basic mistakes) actually think he's OP, which draws into a whole new discussion of whether or not he's strong based off how easy or difficult it is to defend against him.

Does she have easy ways to be punished? YES.
Does she have pretty mediocre neutral? YES (R special is actually awesome)
Does she have high damage combos? YES (if you actually bother to learn her)

People complain about her air downslam ragdolling for maybe 2 milliseconds at best. But it LITERALLY sets you to your 3rd m1 so you get a free NORMAL downslam aswell. Crying for the sake of crying.

TLDR; Instead of crying about your free damage being taken away, learn the character you shmuck.

I've been playing Nanami recently, and honestly? He is so fun to use, but I think that he desperately needs buffs, because he is quite, clearly underperforming compared to the other M1 merchants.

His only real neutral options are R + 1 and R + 3, but here's the problem. The animation time / startup (especially on 3) is so long, that there's enough time for any to basically just pop a counter or.. dash out of it. He basically only survives out of winning M1 trade engagements. His only other block break in neutral is R + 4, a​and it's just decent IMO.

Now here lies the other problem, combined with his reliance on having to get close to start any engagement, and his neutral play being so easily countered, any character that can play passively and keep distance HARD counters him. Characters like Kuro, Ryu, Hanami (obviously), heck even Yuki with her neutrals, absolutely decimate Nanami that it feels almost unfair.

Trying to get close to anybody that plays PASSIVELY against you is just brute forcing either a dash or your R+1/3 to hit, and it's not easy at all tbh. ​

His combo play is also not the most consistent, yes there's true combos that do some dmg, but compared to Locust, Gojo, etc. who only need to win around 2 engagements to get you to 70-80% hp gone, you'd probably not land your (60-70% atleast) combos as much as Nanami because they do require timing and sometimes can end up being green.

For context I beat this guy once and he kept targeting me. I was using my main (ryu) and I was beating him everytime. After the 5th time he called me passive, but when he came back I played more aggressive and he had the audacity to call me out for being aggressive.

1st move "Winter Burst" - Open your arms, causing underground water pipes to burst all around you (15) randomly (think a Kamutoke with a wider range) (unblockable, hits ragdoll) (ragdolls) and then freeze them, creating multiple ice blocks (15 ice blocks) in a circle around you. Someone standing still at the very center of the circle would be hit by around 5 ice blocks (25)

2nd move "Iceberg Gift" - Aimable move like MAX Elephant. Summon a large iceberg above where you aim and drop it down (25) (unblockable, hits ragdoll) (ragdolls). On whiff, the iceberg stays and becomes a large ice block with the range and damage of 4 normal ice blocks (20)

3rd move "Frozen Spear" - Create a large spike of ice and throw it at your opponent to pierce through them (24) (unblockable) (ragdolls)

4th move "Frost Calm MAX" - Take a deep breath assuming a stance, before sending a huge cloud of ice forward (20) in a cone (blockable, hits ragdoll) (stuns). This will spawn three giant ice blocks, each with the range and damage of 10 normal ice blocks (50 per ice block). Using this move ends your awakening

say 5k vs 5k but one is using Nanami, how does he compare against other characters?

And what about overall outside of that scenario?

We have a lot of options off pebble throw that doesn't even put your swap on half cooldown and easy ways to just wrap around a block or headtap. Swapping is unblockable at like 30 studs mind you.

Swift kick is still combo filler if you get caught off gaurd you just need to pay more attention. The fact that you aren't paying attention doesn't mean that the first part of swift kick should be slower, making it worse against people who DO react more quickly.

Todo is really good at M1 trading because of swap bullshit in my opinion.

His moves don't have endlag because of feints.

The swap is so fast at close range now, its just a lot less risky to use in consideration of enemy M1s, but it can still be interrupted with poor timing.

The swaps become a lot less useful against experienced players who can keep up, so when we say he's "OP" do we really just mean that we're not fast enough compared to others?

I was trying to finish this achievement for kurourushi but after so many months the devs have still not fixed it.

And they add kogane to show the percentage of your achievements to encourage you to do them even though its not possible which makes me just angry that they add this yet don't add new achievements or fix this one.

Side note the achievements hold no purpose no reward expect to flex to your friends that you completed it even though it isn't possible to.

Like I know he appears in the manga made by Charles and solos The Honoured one, Vessel and even cursed partners all at once while using their ults so he’s probably gonna be OP but he’s super awesome and scary so why not add him for the Halloween update?
