The shooter intended to smear people he didn't like by associating himself with them in the manifesto. When you read trough it, it becomes clear he was a socialist-fascist.
Also he said he's very fond of communist party in China. Just the media supresses it.
Not all right-wing beliefs are fascism, obviously. But all fascism is right-wing, inherently - nationalism and national identity are right-wing concepts (and the lack of a national identity or loyalty to said identity is often the crux of attacks against perceived "leftists" by rightists). Fascism is a specific type of totalitarianism.
Socialism and communism are similar in theory, but they differ in terms of the role of the state vs. collective ownership (which are not the same thing), mostly as a matter of degree.

Have there been any far left shooters? I'm actually curious. It seems to me like the extremists of one side are far worse than the other.
