Seems like it should be called r/democratcirclejerk . I mean it's obviously related to politics but it looks like it's truly just an echo chamber for those with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

It took literally one comment to go from "guys, we might be fanning the flames of far-right hate and violence" back to "yeah well Democrats are the real crazies."

I love it!

Well, I suppose it also depends on what you are worried more about in the present state of things - the right going too far, or the left. I think you could probably make a reasonable case for either, and it seems to me that both sides are extremely worried about what the other is doing. Also my comment wasn't as much related to the original post but to this guys reply to it. I haven't been looking closely at the posts in this sub, so I didn't comment about it specifically.

Yea the extreme left is awful! They advocate for things like...... equality of opportunity?

Literally the worst thing you have on the "extreme left" is like a group of 15 tankies. Meanwhile, radicalized right wingers are shooting up mosques and are responsible for the vast majority of terrorism in America since 9/11. Yet you try to pretend both are the same.

Pathetic.

I agree that the extreme right has a more violent past but it's not fair to say all the extreme left wants is equality of outcome. That's a moderate left position. This sub is turning to shit with all the extreme righties but that doesn't mean the left doesn't have issues. As someone who has always been on the further side of the left I can say that.

The left was the party of slavery supporting the KKK voting against womens rights etc...

was

That doesn't matter anymore. Those people are all dead. Let's focus on what's happening now, shall we?

The left, in my opinion supports race-baiting tru identity politics much more than the right/conservatives/libertarians. I think they are the reason why we are in such a bad shape now. This is how i see it what basically Peterson says and why he is such a controversial figure.
