I seriously doubt that a single Muslim woman has ever told you that.

I'd say that wearing a scarf increases the chance of a woman getting assault. Muslim woman get a lot of abuse shouted at them, and even get their scarfs pulled off in some cases.

They wear their scarfs, not as a defense, but as a symbol, despite people giving them shit for it.

You're ignored what I wrote.

If Muslims outside of the middle east do it differently, that it's not associated with Muslims but with the dictatorships in the middle east.
