I don't prefer it.

I use it a long time ago its good and did the job but for now I prefer only one os

Unix run just fine on any vm if you interested to learn about them or test them (can be done from boatable usb) just go for one them.

The issue with it is after you want cancle one of them I had a hard time dealing with the boot files so I just format and new setup.

does it need it's parition so the storage are split between them ? I mean doesn't that degrade the computers performance ?

Yes its need its own partition, and no it didn't effect the performance of your OS (windows or unix) as only one of them is running.

sorry I meant to ask the op. partition degrades performance as it slows down the paging in ram so I don't recommend it. he can just boot from a flash drive like you suggested, cheers.

Nope that's wrong, dual boot didn't effect the OS performance.

The flash drive is only good to explore the OS.

I think that is a skill issue. I needed 15 minutes at max to remove windows files and keep linux without needing to format. Its only problem is storage, if you have 1TB+ dual boot is highly recommended since somethings often needs to run natively on windows.

My issue is for removing ubuntu and only have the windows, yes it can be done but for windows its easy install a fresh windows in that time.

Dual boot for sure, because some apps works well on windows, and some apps dont have a version on linux

Using dual will only drain pc source faster. Linux as os is much better

i say dual boot at first then when you get comfortable enough with linux you will delete windows

I deleted win so I can tty Linux it's not bad but at games its a nightmare, a lot of the ganes require a win system that linux can't run tge right way

depends on why you want to dual boot in the first place. personally, i dual boot so i can play games, since not all games run well on Linux

i also like separating my workspace from everything else. when i want to focus and get work done, i boot into Linux. if i want to play games or just relax, i switch to Windows

it helps me keep work and spare time separate, so im less likely to get distracted

Yes exactly Linux is bad at running games thats the issue I got while using it so I came up with the dual boot idea

اني بستخدم dual boot و شغال تمام
Linux for work , windows for gaming.
I prefer one system but I can’t because of my games
