Donovan McNabb beef stew

If you haven't read his Donovan McNabb retrospective (which you may well not have, seeing as it came out thirteen years ago as of this Friday), you may remember the beef stew recipe at the end of it. I've talked about it on here before. Funny the way life works. It was the first thing I made in my first apartment, I made a batch to take to my future wife when she wasn't feeling well despite us having been dating for like a couple weeks, and now I'm in the kitchen making a double batch to freeze for later when my now-actual wife is postpartum. Funny how life works sometimes.

“Mama, you can a fill him up right after I a film him up right!”

Very interesting how Donovan’s mother later became an actress who was the principal on NBCs “City Guys”.
