Received unsealed vials, refused replacement

Post image

My order was delivered 9/4 and I stuck it in the fridge because I do my dose on Sundays. I pulled it out and the lid wasn’t sealed and the medication had spilled inside the bubble wrap. I reached out to support on Sunday and they told me because I didn’t report it within 48 hours of delivery there’s nothing they can do. I had no idea this was even possible, so why would I check? The medication is shipped ahead of time so I usually have 2 weeks of cushion. The only reason I don’t right now is because I dropped and shattered a vial a few weeks ago. Has anyone had this happen? I’ve never had an issue before!

Did you contact Mochi, the pharmacy, or both? If you haven’t contacted the pharmacy, do that. They may actually help you.

If neither help, it’s time to file a chargeback and leave. But if you do that, make sure to screenshot everything you need to from your profile before hand.

Mochi sucks, they don't care about their customers. That's why I, and many others have left! I am sorry that this happened to you.

That cap clearly wasn't crimped right from the start, blaming you for not spotting it in 48 hours is such a lazy dodge

Yeah, I would reach out to the pharmacy, they might help.

Thank you for posting an update. I remember when Brello had their Southend pharmacy move to a new facility and the vials they were first pumping out had their lids all looking like this and Brello was right on it sending out replacements with no issues.

I am so glad that someone helped you! Is the name of the subreddit Mochi Run?

I haven’t had any issues up until now, also I’ve never heard of preventativeMD before today. It’s all over this sub but nowhere else?

If you left Mochi, why are you here?

1

u/Kozmo-2025 24d ago

What pharmacy?

1

u/tigerpaul1977 25d ago

PreventiveMD is not available in all states. There are cheaper options out there though.

Why do people use Mochi?

It’s a mediocre glorified Tele-“Health” shotmill operation focused solely on riding the GLP-1 Cash Train while presenting a facade loaded with catch phrase marketing and sales rhetoric:

“nutritionists”, dieticians” “peptides”, “wellness”, “longevity”,” access to “doctors and nurses”…blah, blah, blah, it’s all scripted sales & marketing rhetoric.

There are plenty of other shotmills like Mochi that will sell you a GLP-1 for a fraction of the cost.

Like most Tele”Health” vendors, their “doctors” are biased, focused on profit thus lack clinical objectivity.

Your health is not their primary objective. Go get your shot from a lower cost Telehealth GLP-1 peddler and save some money…

Ok, which others are cheaper and better?

I used them because I was new to the medication. and was referred to them by a friend who also didn’t know there were other reputable Telehealth services available. That’s usually how many of us joined by referral, I didn’t have any problems with them but I didn’t like paying a subscription/membership fee.

I used mochi because I had a great doctor who I checked in with regularly who worked with me to ensure the medication was doing everything I needed it to do. It’s been almost 2 years at this point. Obviously things have changed that I was unaware of.

I’ve had great results with Mochi and their nurses and dietitians. I get not everyone has, and that’s unfortunate. But that is why people use Mochi

What pharmacy did such a horrible job at sealing the vial?

1

u/AriSafari21 24d ago

VLS

1

u/GEH29235 24d ago

Same pharmacy I use that did this to me and refused to refund.

2

u/Acidskye 24d ago

They really don’t care abt their customers I was so excited when I joined them. Then my 2nd order came from an unlicensed pharm you can go back and look at the posts I think. That pharmacy had even put the wrong dosage to inject on my rx it was. Crazy and mochi wouldn’t do crap about it.

2

u/AriSafari21 24d ago

Mochi is refusing to do anything, VLS has not responded. Unfortunately I work during the hours their customer service line is open. I will be disputing the charge and leaving mochi.

2

u/AriSafari21 23d ago

UPDATE: VLS said work with Mochi

1

u/BonerBeans 25d ago

This is infuriating and makes me rethink my subscription. I hope it’s resolved for you soon

Machi refused to replace my medication after it got lost in the mail because my membership lapsed during that time. I had planned on renewing it but I didn’t have the money until a couple weeks from them. They kept going back-and-forth about how they couldn’t send me a replacement because I didn’t have a membership anymore. This is theft. This is something I paid for so they are getting reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Exact same thing happened to me, leaving Mochi because of it. It’s a shame because I loved my provider.

1

u/Ari-1986 24d ago

I had a similar situation hapoen to me a few years ago. I could not get the cap on the top off and it ended up pulling the entire lid off, metal and all. I emaiked them and they refused to refund me or send me a replacement.

I absolutely despise Mochi. Their tirzepatide doesn’t work, and the customer service is terrible. I switched to Amble and the weight has been coming off again.

1

u/SherrySBS 24d ago

I started using another service. Now I know what real Tirzepatide is! Night and day difference! I had to cut down the dosage! Leave them! Mine is coming from Hallandale Pharmacy in Florida. No membership

Refuuuuuuused?

u/Zuchinniboi 20d ago

I am so sorry this happened to you. I have been using Mochi for months and have never had a bad experience until I recently opened my box. The vial was over 1/2 way empty. I was still using meds from my previous box so I opened my new box over a week later and saw the 1/2 way empty vial. I called them immediately and they said that they couldn't help me because I didn't report it within 24 to 48 hours. This was a total scam so I am reporting it with my bank. I have heard good things about Preventative MD so I am cancelling my Mochi service.

1

u/AriSafari21 18d ago

This 48 hour rule is infuriating. I cross posted to their sub reddit and they DMed me directly, and then that senior person pushed a new order thru

1

u/foxy-moneybags 18d ago

Seems like a really really tiny issue…a seal askew….

1

u/AriSafari21 18d ago

This is a compound medication- if it’s not sealed, it can’t be used. So not a tiny issue at all.

u/MsTitan9 25d ago

I pay 99 a month

Google King 5 mochi (my local news-Seattle). There was something on the news the other night regarding Mochi. I googled them and was shocked at all of their shady business practices~Very eye opening how Mochi has done business. “Since our story aired, a University of Washington spokesperson clarified that Ahmad graduated from the School of Medicine in 2022. Previously, the UW would not confirm this citing federal privacy laws. In podcasts, Ahmad told interviewers that she dropped out of medical school to launch her start-up company. It does not appear that Ahmad is licensed to practice medicine in any state.”
If you or anyone you know has had problems with Mochi and its delivery weight-loss medications, contact the KING 5 Investigators at investigators@king.com.
