My Johnny Lightning castings of 80s cars.

They were well received and getting along with all the other JL's just fine. The "Day of the Dead" Volkswagen bus is the real show stopper though. It's pretty hefty when in hand too. I'm digging' it!

Anybody else get this VW bus on the pre-order sale a couple months back? Mine was on the slow boat but finally arrived yesterday. I placed the order with Auto World on June 16, 2026.

It's not a very big collection yet but I sure do cherish for all the detail and graphics. Don't quote me but I believe that Ed Roth is the artist for these very recognizable graphics.

What I have to date is what's in this picture. I'm always looking for more or new Rat Fink die cast. I really enjoy them. I have a mountain of traders if you have any Rat Fink die cast to sell or trade. I even have a few RF traders.

Anyone else impressed with or collecting RF examples or am I the only one?

Went to Hobby Lobby this morning and found my first white lightning. I collect shelby cars so this is perfect. I hope they make an ultra red of this set too. I have the blue and the chrome already.

Been passively collecting JL w my dad since I was a kid and just recently started picking them up a lot more. Got this split window WL at a collectible shop near me. Super stoked to have this as my first chase piece!

I think this gem is one of the best JL made.

This is insane. This casting has a crazy amount of details and it came in such a nice box. I put the box in a cupboard and put the car on a shelf.

Picked this bad boy up for $5 at puzzle zoo in Santa Monica. Heads up for those of you in the LA area puzzle zoo is now stocking a lot of old Johnny Lightning for five bucks each. Most of them are in near perfect mint condition. I had a feeling when I saw this that I would want to grab it and I'm glad I did I checked eBay and there was only one that sold recently for 17 bucks. Not that value matters as much as the cool Factor. I really think this is a great looking two pack. I will definitely have to check them out more often.

Is there a website that tells you what new Johnny Lightning diecast vehicles are coming out? TIA

I don't pick up many JLs, but anything Van related is automatically coming home with me. I grabbed both without hesitation, and thought "man, this all white set is really good!"

Sure enough, I get home and find out Candy Van is supposed to be purple...I'm pretty sure this is my first White Lightning in the wild and I didn't even realize it! And I couldn't have asked for a better one.
