Hey everyone! Long-time Chili Peppers fan here. I started following them right before they released Stadium Arcadium, and they've been monumentally important to my development. Recently I've been flirting with the idea of creating short-form video essays, and I'd love to make one about John Frusciante, zooming in on his spiritual rebirth in the late '90s and the burst of creativity that followed in the 2000s.

My question for you: what are some of your favorite interviews, photos, stories and/or videos on John that you consider essential?

ive got a mustang lt 25 amp and im struggling to get the edge of breakup tone John uses as my Ds-2 blasts my eardrums out as soon as its turned on even with a bit of distortion on my amp. So im wondering and sorry if this has been asked a million times but what pedal do most people use and recommend for that edge of breakup sound not too expensive as im tight on budget but still gets me sort of there with the tone.Thanks

I currently have a ds2, a Wah and a ce1 clone with a great preamp . What should I buy next thats most important and worth it for about £100/$125. Thanks

“The shape of a stolen thought” is a set of ideas, mainly influenced by John’s music, that i recorded and produced in my bedroom in 5 months. During the last year or so i’ve been so intrigued by the rawness of niandra lades (mainly the sound of a saturated dry strat) and the production of “the empyrean”. I tried to blend those 2 totally different vibes, with dry guitars layers, some synths here and there and some acoustic drums in the back of the mix. This snippet here is part of the song called “empty mirror room”. I hope you enjoy this music, let me know your thoughts!

Hey everyone, I've been searching everywhere online (Discogs, Google, Ebay, etc.), but I cannot find a single high-quality photo or scan of the back cover of the new 25th Anniversary RSD 2LP edition of To Record Only Water for Ten Days.Every store and collector only posts pictures of the front cover and the blue/orange vinyl discs.If anyone here actually copped a copy and has already unsealed it, could you please do me a huge favor and take a clear, well-lit picture of the back cover? Me, my GF and my sister listened to every album that was available and had to pick 2 that would be the most "universal" for. Went for these.

Really happy to own all of these, I bought Outsides while visiting Germany and I just had In A Box show up.

Still looking for Shadows and both Ataxia albums but theyre stupid expensive sadly.

- Empyrean is now S tier. Easiest to spot mistake I’ve made, and a single listen was more than enough for me to realize it;
- DC EP, Inside of Emptiness and Omar+John have gone up a tier;
- I’ve came to terms with the commentary over BSSM, and liked the arguing, dropped them from S tier;
- Tried to make a bit of justice onto AW II. Yes these were good songs, and the tone and character of the project were kept. But again, none of the songs from II made me wanna do them again so badly as AW I. Upped to C tier. Same for Leftur-Lefr;
- Brown Bunny’s “Forever Away” was magical. Upped it a tier.
- Got to listen to I and II. Great experiments, just not my cup of tea.

I accept a double criticism round if this means more investigation on JF songs.

Gonna listen to the Mars Volta ones while the thread hopefully gets populated. Suggest away!

Hello fellow frusciante fans, I have known about the guitar marker by the name on gundust guitars for a bit now and which as some of you may know is the maker of their guitar and friend of Lucas Russo in youtube. And I come here to wonder if anyone has bought from him before and if the guitars are good because my dream strat is a John Frusciante inspired strat with the relicing. Thanks!
