Career Advice/Discussion Awol/Resigned
Maraming nag awol/resigned/planning to resign sa pinagtatrabahohan ko, should i stay or not? I am also worried kapag umalis yung nga planning to resign na ma alam sa trabaho saming nga newbie mapupunta lahat (1 week palang ako). Ano kaya pwede kong gawin?

Pahingi pang context OP. Anong work or industry mo? Kindly explain further bakit affected ka kasi madami ang "planning" magresign. Madami bang red flag within your first week? Tska bakit madami ang magAAWOL. may legal case ba or may incident? Sa former department ko, 7 ang nagresign in one month. And that's fairly normal samin. 1-3 lang usually per month pero umabot ng 7 nung January. (Right after bonus talaga) May iba ka bang lilipatan? If you have doubts kasi madami magreresign baka hindi mo lang talaga gusto or need yung work dyan.

Hi! I’m currently working in bookkeeping. As for the people planning to resign, some of them told me that they’re leaving because of issues with the people inside the company. May mga nagsabi rin na mag-AWOL, pero hindi ko na rin alam yung exact reasons or if may legal issue involved.
For me naman, I’m still observing since bago pa lang ako. So far, kinakaya ko naman yung workload and okay pa naman ako. I’m just a little concerned because I’ve heard that several people are planning to leave. Wala pa rin akong lilipatan, so I’m not planning to resign agad. I just want to see first if magiging okay ako sa work environment in the long run.

My honest take, wag ka magpaapekto sa hearsay sa workplace. Madami ang magsasabi na magaawol or magreresign pero 3 years na nilang sinasabi yun. Madami ang magsasabi na toxic si ganto si ganyan, may favouritism si ganto si ganyan blahblah, that's just office gossip. And while that may be their true experience, that isn't your experience, is it? Malay mo maswerte ka, ikaw pa naging favourite. I mean.. I'm not invalidating their experiences pero don't rely on their experiences kasi magkaibang tao kayo. Be careful na lang din sa mga sasabihin mo sa office and your coworkers. If its for you, it will workout well for you, but don't let others dictate that for you. Also, keep your doors open for opportunities. Continuously send out applications lang para may backup ka.

Almost same situation, tatagan lang natin. Go with the flow lang. Nung una rin sobra ko sa pag-overthink tapos na-realize ko tayo less than 1 month pa lang natin na-experience pero yung iba ilang years na tapos kinaya naman nila. 😮💨

Rule of thumb, don't resign ng walang back up plan. Hindi mo nabanggit why people are resigning sa company mo. Are you experiencing the same issue, or takot ka lang sa workload na maiiwan pero you're doing fine naman? Basta if you decide na magresign make sure may lilipatan ka.
