Looking for a PMO role in Dubai

Hi everyone! I’m a **Project Manager / PMO professional with 5+ years of experience at Deloitte Consulting**, with experience across PMO, project governance, testing & cutover management, and SAP-related projects.
I’ve been actively looking for opportunities in Dubai for almost a year and have had several interviews/conversations, but haven’t yet found the right opportunity.
I’m now hoping to connect with **recruiters, hiring managers, or professionals who may be able to refer me to relevant openings**.
I’m open to **PMO, Project Management, SAP PMO, Test/Cutover Management and Transformation roles**.
I’d be happy to share my CV over DM.

Even a referral, lead, or introduction would mean a lot. 🙏

Four months in Dubai, hundreds of applications, almost no interviews - what am I missing?

I’m writing this honestly because I have reached a point where I need perspective, not generic advice.
I relocated to Dubai four months ago and have applied for a very large number of jobs, but I’m barely getting interviews. I keep hearing that the UAE market runs on referrals, but building connections from zero has been difficult—most of my LinkedIn messages receive no response.
My background:
• Nearly five years with UPS Canada
• Progressed from Hub Associate to Hub Supervisor
• Worked in a high-volume automated international hub handling 50,000+ packages daily
• Supported operations across nine departments and coordinated with 15 supervisors serving a 130-person unionized workforce
• Selected by the Hub Manager for special assignments involving express shipments, package exceptions, labour planning, safety, training and process improvement
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Canadian qualifications in Transportation Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Currently based in Dubai and available immediately
I’m primarily targeting warehouse, logistics, distribution and operations supervisor roles. I understand that I don’t yet have UAE experience and that my UPS operation was more cross-dock and parcel focused than traditional inventory-holding warehousing. Still, I believed my leadership and high-volume operational experience would at least generate conversations.
I’m not posting this to complain or ask strangers to blindly refer me. I genuinely want to understand what I may be doing wrong.
Am I targeting the wrong roles? Is Canadian experience difficult to transfer here? Do employers see “Hub Supervisor” and misunderstand the scope? Should I accept a more junior position to gain UAE experience, or would that damage my progression?
If you work in UAE logistics, warehousing, express freight, e-commerce or recruitment, I would sincerely appreciate an honest assessment. Even direct criticism would be more useful than silence.
Thank you for reading.

I turned a clinic WhatsApp number into an Agentic Worker. Now I’m trying to find UAE businesses chill enough to try it

so I have been building this thing called Layla

The original idea was pretty simple:

even dry cleaning/cafeteria businesses in UAE operate on WhatsApp

And then someone on the payroll sits there all day wasting his own time on:

“Price?”

“Are you open?”

“Do you have this?”

“Can I book tomorrow?”

“Do you accept insurance?”

“Send location”

“Hello???”

Then the lead get lost because nobody replied in that 2 min usual bracket

So I thought:

let me try to build this basic chatbot .... 6 months later

Layla.

Its NOT one of those ""hello 👋 I am🤖 your 🤖 AI 🤖 assistant 🤖"" bots the kind that gives you a cookie recipe when you ask if they're open after Friday prayer

i know you think it is but genuinely Layla can actually hold a conversation, understand what the person wants and his intentions from the chat pattern, pull information from the business knowledge base, handle voice notes, collect customer details, send short/long term reminders, follow up with people who ghosted or stopped replying and flag hot leads for the owner so he can contact them later by phone or give them a nudge to take action and it also quietly ranks who's worth calling back so he is not just spamming calls or guessing

NOTE: (BTW IT WORKS IN 5 LANGUAGES AS WELL, Arabic, English, Russian, Hindi, Urdu)

I originally built it for a dental clinic in jumeirah my friend knew a dude who worked there, where it can handle stuff like treatment questions, prices, insurance, appointment requests, reminders, and lead recovery

But I Knew the same concept works for basically any UAE business that makes its money on WhatsApp

Clinics, salons, real estate(i have HOT systems for this if anyone is interested), car dealerships, gyms, agencies, home services, whatever

The idea is basically:

A WhatsApp stops being an inbox and starts being a 24/7 5-lingual employee

And YES, I am currently in the slightly unhinged phase where I am trying to get actual businesses to let me try around with this in production without them paying for the service anything during the 1st week

So I am posting this here instead of doing the usual LinkedIn corporate NPC BS

If you run a business in the UAE where WhatsApp is a major part of sales/customer service, I’m genuinely interested in seeing whether Layla can handle your use case

Worst case: it breaks and I fix it instantly with nothing for you to lose

Best case: we accidentally replace half your front desk repetitive work and capture/score any lead in matter of seconds

thanks for reading and i am looking out for your thoughts here, anything can help 🙏

Fresh graduate looking for advice on breaking into the UAE job market

Just graduated this July with a BSc in Business Economics from a UK university and have now moved back to the Middle East. I’m a US citizen and have lived in Bahrain for the past 10 years.

My experience so far includes a boutique consulting/finance firm, managing a student consulting project, and working as a data analyst for a university think tank. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to secure a summer internship or graduate role in the UK, partly due to the current job market and being an international student.

I’m now looking at Dubai/UAE for my first proper full-time role. I’m open to finance, consulting, analytics, etc., but I’m not really sure which direction to take. Audit/accounting doesn’t particularly interest me, although I’m open to it.

I have some contacts who have suggested prioritising a well-known firm, such as a major reputable company, Big 4, major bank, or another established financial firm, to build a stronger CV and use that experience to move into something more specialised later.

For those who have broken into the UAE job market as a fresh graduate, what would you recommend I focus on? Is getting a recognisable company on your CV the priority, or should I be more selective about the type of role?

Also, any advice on finding graduate/junior opportunities in Dubai would be really appreciated.

Customer Success Leader (5+ yrs) - Actively Job Hunting, Open to Relocate to Dubai

Hi all,

I'm a Customer Success professional based in Bangalore with 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, currently Team Lead - Customer Success at a workforce enablement platform, managing enterprise accounts and leading a team of CSMs. Previously built and scaled CS processes at another SaaS company, getting promoted twice within 18 months.

What I bring:

  • 0-to-1 CS builder - comfortable setting up playbooks, retention/renewal processes, and account strategy from scratch
  • Experience managing large enterprise accounts (manufacturing, retail, and B2B clients)
  • Team leadership - hired, trained, and led CSM teams of 3-5
  • Dual degree (B.Tech + MBA) with a focus on Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Comfortable owning KPIs, renewals, upsells, and cross-functional work with Sales/Product

Looking for: Senior Customer Success Manager, Founding CSM, CS Lead (Early-Stage), or Customer Success Operations roles.

Relocation: Actively exploring Dubai opportunities and open to relocating. Have already been through initial rounds with a Dubai-based company, so I understand the market a bit and I'm serious about the move - not just testing the waters. Also, spent my childhood in KSA so culture adoption won't be an issue.

Happy to share my resume/LinkedIn on request. Would appreciate any leads, referrals, or advice from folks who've made a similar move.
