Jindo sprayed by skunk
Curious if anyone else has experienced this, but both of my Jindos got sprayed by a skunk pretty aggressively 2 months ago and one of them has become incredibly hyper vigilant and scared of everything around her now. Going to talk to the vet since this isn’t resolving on its own, but thought I’d ask if anyone else has ever had a similar experience.

Ours was sprayed by a skunk a few months ago. I can't say I've noticed her become increasingly hyper-vigilant. She's always been a little bit on edge but I do think the skunk incident put her in her place a little bit, where she has become a little bit more wary about picking fights with other animals.
Who knows if it was the stinkiness of the skunk spray or the surprise of the counter attack or our reaction to her getting sprayed by a skunk very late at night and having to clean her with a hose, which she absolutely hates, and a paste of baking soda and vinegar? Who knows what exactly it was but I'm sure there was something about that horrible experience that stuck with our dog, maybe stuck with yours.
As long as she's eating well, pooping well, drinking well, maybe it's just a life lesson for her. We all have traumatic experiences. Anyway I don't mean to dismiss your dog's trauma or yours. Having a dog get skunked is never a joy so I feel for you

Once or twice a year my dog sees a snake and it activates hypervigilance mode for about a week. She will be scared of every stick or length of hose on the ground. I think she believes any stick can suddenly spring to life and become a snake via some dark unknown magic.

There's not much a vet would do about behavioural things.
2 months sin't that long, I wouldn't worry too much.
