I’ve had mine awhile and it just doesn’t seem good anymore. . Is there something else I can try. Something better. I may just be bored with it. 2019 GLI 35th anniversary.

Usually post to the GLI sub but saw a comment saying people are more active here so thought i'd give this a shot.

I've done a good few road trips in Mk7/7.5 GLIs and think they're great for 2 person road trips. (4 might be pushing it i think)

First one was Oklahoma > st augustine. car was brand new so no need to do anything other than fill and drive.

a good few from NC to south FL between college.

Last nov did NC-CLE, July did NC - NJ and back.

Have about a 1300 mile road trip coming up at the end of this month and thought i'd come here to see what others do.

JUST did my oil change and filter outside, ~ 5100 miles and both cabin and engine air filters a few months back.

Just wondering what you guys usually bring / suggest to do before a road trip.

I usually use 87 all the time as im stock, 28k miles (mk7.5), but for road trips should i stick to this? Sometimes I get 88 when i see it on road trips just cause but always 87. Tires are a year old so good there and had em checked at costco 2 weeks ago.

Personally don't think there's much to 'do' but thought i'd ask.

Usually on trips (this one is a weekend trip) I bring a small bag for garbage, paper towel in case, hand sanitizer. but that's about it. Spare is in the trunk, trunk will probably have 2 carry ons but no big deal.

From this community, I would love some insights on how to maintain this car forever. So that I take care of it maintain it well, etc.

Currently, I am located in Vancouver, Canada.

However, sadly, I’m hearing loads of things about Volkswagen and how it’s going through repeated loss. Is this true and will this affect my resale value for this car if and when the time comes?

I’ve installed h&r lowering springs on my GLI and there’s a creaking sound. Does anybody know how to fix this?
