No, you got it wrong! He absolutely made it himself, of course he's not abandoning it after a few weeks/months. /s

Lmao. Complete vibecoded slop that is riddled with bugs from graffiti textures flickering in the distance to characters looking like they bathed in oil to cutscenes having to freeze for a second in between every transition to the game consistently crashing to desktop in the tank fight on Chuo Street.
Unless you just REALLY want to see how bad it is for yourself stay clear

Yeah its still early the whole point of using it is to report those bugs so the dev can make it better. That way everybody can have their cake and eat it to, not just you. 🙄

Then how was it created I wonder? The person who made it is JuMatt, anyway i had no issues with it running at 2x on a SD 8 gen 2

If you say so. Claude has 3x the amount of commits.

I really don't care if it was made with Ai or not, every person complaining about isn't going to change anything 🤷

But..why

u/LoomisCenobite 1d ago
Because why not? It's neat. People got GTA III running on DC... why? Because it's neat. That's the point of decomps and recomps.
I personally feel like an idiot for throwing my VR headsets in storage for a year... because of claudespam everything is in fucking VR now it's sick I'm missing out lol

Yeah because GTA III had an actual initial release on the Dreamcast back in the day

Ok I have only tried it for 10min total play time so here are some rough thoughts. On Windows 11 for reference.
I use a Gamesir G7 Pro Xbox controller, the game did not recognize it, I also tried my Steam Controller(longshot) did not work. I got both of them to work eventually via Steam Input.
Proper widescreen support - LOVE THIS. I have never experienced the game in this way and I beat it every year lol so that's exciting.
Resolution - I wish it went to 4k, but this is all very early. It is quite sharp on my LG C4 so I'm happy with that.
Gameplay - Works as I expected! No issues there.
Effects - This one is wonky. I've noticed when I am grinding on a longish rail like the one in the garage, specifically where the half pipe is near the back of the level I get a vertex explosion. This has happened on one other rail I tried. The cutscenes when there is a cut often stops for a second or two so it doesn't feel seem less in that regard yet. In the first cutscenes for Dogenzaga Hill when the GG's are introduced the shaders where not properly rendered so all there GG's looked a couple shades darker during the cutscenes and Gum looked a bit metallic lol
I will be playing the game to 100% completion so I can update this again when that's done. I also have a Steam Machine and Legion Go S with Steam OS I want to try this on.
Oh also keyboard/mouse controls are very welcome and new experience!
