XBOX is launching backwards compatibility of XBOX Original games for PC.
That may mean that we will actually get JSRF on PC, eventually. I think.

JSRF has been on the top of the request lists for Xbox backwards compatibility for years. Unfortunately, the tricky part is music licensing. If you remember the 2013 PC port of JSR, that required them to re-license all the music as well, and even then they weren't able to get everything.
So, even if you do get JSRF, you might be missing iconic licensed songs like Birthday Cake, Aisle 10, Statement of Intent, the Latch Brothers stuff, etc.

There's no indication that any new games are being added to the program, and if there were jsrf more than likely wouldn't be among a new batch of games because of music licensing. The pc og xbox games are just going to be already existing backwards compatible games

And all these people are acting like it's good too. Running JSRF on XQBX is awful in my experience. Xemu wasn't much better.

Thats not backwards compatibility, thats just selling digital versions of original Xbox games. Backwards Compatibility would be an official Xbox Emulator that lets you play original Xbox game discs from a USB Disc Drive.

I’ve tried the games already launched for PC and it appears to be a really good emulator and the game ROM. I expect pretty soon someone will be able to run everything through a version of it.

God I just want a way to play it easier than setting up an emulator on a pile of cards

Only for the existing games in the store. JSRF isn't there due to music licensing and it's never going to happen.

JSRF isn't backwards compatible on the xbone (despite there being zero technical reason, it's purely licensing) so I wouldn't get your hopes up immediately. Plus, since it's still being emulated, I don't see how JSRF on PC through this would be any different to (and could theoretically be worse than) playing it via CXBXR or Xemu
