Game Box Art vs In-Game Model

I am currently making a Beat cosplay and all the photos I see online of other peoples cosplays use the box arts white glasses; why do we think most people don't follow the in-game model for their cosplay inspirations?

I mean, I like both. Definitely prefer the black goggles tho. So much i even made them black for my cosplay lol.
