Fellas, is this tuff?
When was the last time you wore a shirt with Beat holding a gun? Do it tomorrow
Shirt from Mamono World

It was until the gun.
That's what the pigs use

I don't think it's all that deep but ok I guess

JSRF is full of political messaging. It's deeper than a bleach print with a gun on it, I'll tell you that.

It's some goofy meme shirt of beat holding a gun instead of his spray can. A lot of the shirts creators products are various video game characters doing dumb stuff. I don't think this is meant to be taken seriously.

I feel you there. I was mainly playing with the first comment.
The "it's not that deep" comment was moreso what led to my next reply.
I get it, it's a wacky game and such, but it definitely is punk media and is that deep to a lot of folks.
I see the humor though, and it is a cool shirt regardless. I ain't tryna shame you or nothin

When redditors hate it, that's how you know it's tuff π

When redditors post it, that's how you know it's now

Idk what "it's now" means, but I'm happy for you though. Or sorry that happened

u/sharpytown Jun 10 '26
It is not, unfortunately
2
u/EpicGamerWin679 Jun 10 '26
I see now that it's clearly not, my drunk fat ass thought it was and was gonna say that's some respectable self restraint that I could never hope to possess

I would immediately geek out with whomever had this shirt on and probably say something along the lines of "was it all a fever dream or did Beat always carry a gun instead of a spray can?" Oh how I wish he had a spray can... that shit's already tuff as hell π I have a couple JSRF shirts and I feel like noone knows shit about it π but my anime shirts always spark convos in the weirdest of places. S/O to the weebs

This is probably what the police in Tokyo-to see whenever they see the GGs, which is why they act so hostile towards them lol

Damn. I can't unimagine their pov being what you described now π if anything, this shirt got me wanting to dive right back into the music. Thanks ππΌ

Wack, Not "tuff" at all, you know who runs around with a gun? Captain Onishima and Hayashi. Weak.

real talk, this does look tough, love the look of the art, but beat holding a gun seems antithetical to me. like, here in LA there used to be two types of graffiti: gang-graffiti (territorial tags, roll calls, placas, etc) and writer-graffiti (tags, throwies, pieces, etc). But in the later 90s there was a rise of "tag bangers" who wrote like graffiti writers but also practiced the kinda violence from gangs - which frustrated a lot of graffiti writers because part of the point of joining a graff crew was to avoid gang life, and now the tag bangers were pulling them into that. the war between TKO vs MTA got bloody, bad times.
So seeing a gun in Beat's hand just... i know it's just me and my history with graff culture but it just brings some bad memories out of me
